'Ugh, school. Another day of boredom and absolute hell.' I scold as I enter Plankshire High. I feel the usual eyes on me and hear the usual whispers behind my back as I head to my first class, calculus. I wouldn't hate the class so much if it didn't have my mortal enemy in it...Amelia. I don't know what it is about her but every time I see her, my blood just starts boiling. I don't know if its her snobby attitude or her loud-ass laugh that she always does but she annoys me to no end.

As soon as I walk into the room, I am greeted by that high-pitched laugh of Amelia. I can't help but roll my eyes as I head to my seat.

"Hey wolf boy!!" Her friend, Phoebe, squeaks. I roll my eyes at the stupid name they've put upon me. I mean, I do have shaggy hair and I am a werewolf, but come on!! At least I wear decent clothes and I have a tan.

"Hey, she's talking to you." Catelyn says, crossing her arms over her nonexistent chest. I roll my eyes and turn around.

"Whatcha need albino?" I ask, flashing a smile. She frowns but I can see a blush creeping onto her pale cheeks.

"Nothing...y-you wouldn't understand it." I wink before turning around to face the front.

"What's wrong with you?" Lizzie asks, annoyed.

"I'm sorry, I lost it." Phoebe says quietly. I smirk as the bell rings for class to start and the teacher stands up.

"Ok, so even though it is the second quarter of the year, I notice that we aren't very social with each other. I have come up with a project for you guys worth ninety points. I have assigned partners and they'll be shown on the projector." She slides a power point onto the big projector and I read through to find my name.

"NO!! NOT HIM!!" Amelia screeches. I find my name next to hers soon after and stare in shock.

"Mrs. Patterson, this isn't a good idea. Can I be partners with someone else??" I ask, desperation clear in my voice.

"Sorry Jon. Partners are final." A deep growl erupts in my throat as I quickly leave the room, slinging my backpack over my shoulder.

I get to the parking lot and lean against the side of the building. I let out an annoyed sigh as I close my eyes and take deep breath to calm down. I hear a twig snap and jump up quickly, growling.

"It's me!!" Amelia squeals as she cowers back in fear. I roll my eyes and pick up my backpack.

"What are you doing here?" I ask, shoving my free hand in my jean pocket.

"I came out here to calm you down." She responds quietly, looking at the ground. I walk closer to her and look down at her.

"And how exactly are you going to do that? You know nothing about me."

"I-I was gonna do what always calms people down. It stupid now that I think about it." I sigh and she looks up at me.

"It is stupid, but if we're gonna survive this project, I guess I should trust you and all that stuff." She smiles and I smile back slightly.

"We should probably head inside. Mrs. Patterson wouldn't be happy with us missing so much class." I sigh and nod in agreement. We head inside and walk quietly to the classroom. I hold the door open and she enters, me following.

"Thanks for joining us Mr. Matthews." Mrs. Patterson smirks at me as I sit quietly at a desk in a corner. I hear the desk next to me move and I look up to see Amelia smiling at me.

"Can I join you or do you want to be left alone looking pathetic?" She jokes as she sits.

"Well, I thought I'd sulk in the corner but it seems I don't have a choice." I joke back, earning a soft chuckle in return.
