A few days after....

I threw my bag onto the kitchen island and kicked my converse off. The week went by slowly but it was finally over. I washed my hands and grabbed a slice of pizza from the box that was on the island next to where I put my bag.
"I thought we were having butter chicken tonight." I said to Cairo as I sat beside him on the couch.
His earlobe length box braids were tied up into a bun at the base of his head. I need to get my hair done too. Can't have my brother looking better than me.
"Had a long day." He sighed as he played whatever video game that had his attention right now.
I wasn't offended by his response because my twin brother usually had very little to say. We were in our final year at St. Eugene University in Ceothames. Our father, a successful business man who had no spending limit when it came to his children, insisted on buying us an apartment instead of letting us stay in the dorms with everyone else.
I disagreed with him when I was in my first year because I wanted to experience a normal transition into adulthood but when you and your brother kill people for living, it's better not to be around so many witnesses.
How would I explain why I was covered in blood to a roommate?
"Are you going out tonight?" Cairo asked me.
That was all anyone could talk about today. It was school tradition to have a back to school party in the first week. There were usually more than one and were all tolerable.
"Yes ,do you want to come?" I asked.
"No thank you." He laughed.
Not surprising, Cairo preferred smaller gatherings. Large, uncontrolled gatherings irritated him. I was the more social twin and he was the friendlier of us.
I ate until I couldn't anymore, showered and got dressed. Cole, my best friend, would be here to pick me up soon. I was planning on getting hammered tonight especially after the long week and that job I had a few days ago.
My phone buzzed and Cole's name popped up on my screen. I yelled bye to Cairo as I shut the door behind me. I got into the elevator, gave a smile to the doorman and I was out.The cool night air brushed my bare thighs and blew through my twist out. I had on a tight amber green dress and made sure that I smelled like a temptress.
I would probably regret wearing my strappy black stiletto's at the end of the night but beauty hurts, right?
I jumped into the front seat of Cole's truck and pushed the chair back so I could sit comfortably.
"Miss me? That's where I left my lip gloss!" I exclaimed when I spotted my Fenty lip gloss in the cup holder.
"Because of you I have to spend time convincing whoever I am dating that I am not cheating on them." Cole said.
I did occasionally forget stuff in his car but so did he. I have a bag full of clothes that he leaves in my car after a night out. Drunk Cole loves to strip.
"You and all your hoes can kiss my black ass." I laughed as I pulled down the mirror to re-apply my lip gloss.
Cole had the location of wherever it was that we were going on his GPS. I stretched my arm over and run my fingers through his black hair.
