I woke up early so I could sneak back into the girls dorms without getting detention. Hermione had to of known where I was last night, because she wasn't up freaking out this time about how I wasn't in bed.

It was the last week before summer break, which I was spending with the Weasleys because my own family had basically kicked me out.

I snuck back into my bed and fell back asleep.
-
I woke up at around 9:30. It was the weekend so that meant no classes. I got dressed and pulled on Harry's hoodie he had given me the first time I went to his room because it was so damn comfortable and I just never gave it back.

I made my way to the hospital wing to go check if Ron was okay, when I bumped into my cousin, Draco.
"Hello Edelen! Looking forward to going home this summer?" He asked, trying to make small talk.
"Actually, Draco, since my family hates me and disowned me, I am spending the summer elsewhere."
"What do you mean? You're not coming home?" Draco asked.
"No Draco, because I vividly remember when you told me I wasn't allowed there anymore. All my stuff is in my trunk anyway so I have no business going back." I explained.
"Ed, you know father! He was just going through a phase! He still wants you to come back!" Draco pleaded.
"It doesn't seem like it Draco! I'm going to miss living there, but I'm not going to if I'm unwanted and an outcast!" I yelled at Draco as tears filled my eyes.
"Edelen, please." Draco's eyes were full of tears too. He grabbed my hand and looked me dead in the eye.
"Come home. I'll convince father I promise."
"Draco, we both know that's not going to work. Now, please let me go. I have to go see my friend whose in the hospital wing." Draco let go of my hand and turned and walked the other way. I wiped the tears from my eyes and continued walking.
-
"Edelen!" Ron said excitedly.
"Ron! How you feeling?" I asked.
"Better then ever. Madam Pomfry said I could be let out today. No ones came to visit, you know. Gets lonely up here." Ron rambled.

Ron was really one of the sweetest people I knew and I don't know what I'd do without him. I didn't hangout with him as much as Hermione and Harry but we still were Best friends. I really should talk to him

"Mom owned me again. She's excited you're staying with us. I just want to warn your about her temper. She can really be mad some times. And if you think Fred and George are annoying now, just wait until you meet them at home. They get 10 times more annoying. It's funny, really." Ron continued ranting, barely letting me talk. I was fine with it, though. I loved listening to him rant, it's really funny, even if the conversation was a little one-sided.

"I think you and Ginny will get along just fine though. She's only a year younger then us. I think she-" Ron was cut off by Dumbledore coming through the door.

He approached me and Ron.
"Hello Weasley, how are you feeling?"
"Fine, sir."
"Edelen, do you mind if I talk to you for a second?" Dumbledore asked.
"Yes, sir. Goodbye, Ronnie." I said, waving as I walked out the room.
"Bye Eddie!" He called.

Dumbledore lead me to his office. We walked in and he closed the door and sat down at his desk.
"Edelen, I have some good news, and some bad news. Which would you like first?"
"Bad news please. Always end with a good thing."
"Very well. Bad news. Peter Pettitgrew has escaped from our Hogwarts tower."
"How?"
"We don't know. I suspect death eaters."
"When?"
"Just this morning."
"And what's the good news?"
"Legally, your fathers name is cleared. He is a free man. Though, at this moment, we cannot seem to locate him. It seems as if he ran off after last night."
"Thank you head master. May I leave?"
"Yes. You are dismissed."

I gave Dumbledore a wave before exiting his office. I couldn't really process what he just said. All of it was mind blowing and hard to believe.

I walked back to the Gryffindor common room. I had a history of magic test that I had to study for, plus my owls that were tomorrow.

I walked up to my dorm. Hermione was there and so was another girl.
"Hermione, care to study with me?" I asked, knowing she was say yes.
"I'd never pass that up." She joked.

Hermione and I grabbed our books and went downstairs to the table in the commons. We started to study. There was one question that I couldn't quite get and Hermione was trying to help me understand.

"Morning Edelen. Hermione." Harry chirped from the stairs.
"Afternoon." I corrected him.
"It's 2:00." Hermione explained.
"What? I slept that long?"
"Yep." I said, popping the "p".
"Hey, is that my quidditch sweater? I've been looking for that!" Harry whined.
"Well, too bad mine now. You'll get another one next year." I smirked. I could hear him scoff from the couch in by the fireplace.
"You have your own, you know." He mumbled, yawning.
"But yours is so much better." I answered.

Later, Ron walked through the the door.
"Surprise!" He yelled.
"Ron! You're back! You're okay!" Harry said, running up to him.
"It's great to see you didn't lose a leg." Hermione said.

Ron wasn't using any crutches, so that must of meant his leg healed nicely.
"Are you ready for your owls?" I asked him. His face went blank.
"My owls?"
"Yes Ron. Did you study at all?" I asked in disbelief.
"N-no!" He cried.
"Here, Ron, come sit beside me. Edelen and I are studying anyways." Hermione proposed. Ron quickly nodded his head and sat down beside her. I continued studying on my own. I watched as the two shared stolen glances and enjoyed each other company.

They were so cute together, yet, neither one of them could admit that they fancied the other.

I had finished studying and Hermione was still helping Ron. I packed my books and went up to my dorm to put them away. I came back downstairs and sat next to Harry. He had fallen asleep again.
"Harry!" I yelled into his ear, waking him up.
"What?" He yelped in surprise.
"You fell asleep again? What's gotten into you?"
"I was up last night. I kept getting nightmares." He mumbled.
"Nightmares about what?"
"About you, dying. What if Fawks hadn't come. What if you had died last night."
"Oh Harry. I'm sorry." I said softly, pulling him into a hug. I couldn't imagine what me almost dying must have felt like for him. By the time I realized I might die, I had already accepted it.

He pulled away and looked me dead in the eye.
"You can never do that again. You can't die. Please, don't put your life before mine."
"Harry, you don't understand. I have to put your life before mine." I explained.
"I can't have someone die because of me. Especially you."
"Harry, Dumbledore asked me to protect you, not that you can't protect yourself, but, you are prone to danger."
"What?" He asked in disbelief.
"Harry, I'm your Guardian Angle. Why do you think I've been going to lessons with Dumbledore? We both care to much for you and don't want to see you get hurt, or worse, killed."
"It's not right. You can't get hurt. I can't be the reason you get hurt."
"You're not the reason, Harry. Every thing I do, every decision I make, I make on my own. I am the reason I get hurt, not you." I said, trying to comfort him.

I was about to start crying, and we were in the middle of the commons. No one was there, except Ron and Hermione, who were in they're own little world.

I stood up from the couch and went into the girls dorms, leaving Harry behind. He couldn't follow me, because the stairs would turn into a slope, not letting him up to the girls dorms.

I ran into the washroom in my dorm and locked the door behind me. Tears started streaming down my face. I felt so guilty for causing him this pain. I felt as if it was my fault, and it was.

I heard a small knock on the door. I opened it slightly, and standing outside was Harry.
"H-how did you get up here?" I asked, confused.
"I have my ways." He said. I wiped the tears from my eyes and opened the door more. Harry walked in. He wrapped his arms around me, pull my head into his chest.
"I'm sorry." He apologized. I continued to sob into his chest.
