They're Coming

After the Cullens left, I decided to call the Volturi to inform them about it.

I called Caius. It was answered on the second ring.

"Hello?" I said.

"Cara." He said.

"Hi Caius! I just wanted to inform you of a few.......recent events." I said but was cut off.

"Ah yes. How did you like the vampire baseball? Of course, it didn't go well. But, you surely have an overall view of it."

"How did you know?"

"Three nomadic vampires came to us. Aro saw interesting things in their memories. Oh and by the way, most of the people here are plotting your murder. Gave us a heart attack with that phone call to Alec."

"I gave vampires a heart attack?" I asked in a shocker! voice. "A special thing ain't I?"

"We will be coming in a months time. No one shall harm you, of course. But, you will have to be prepared to tell Cullens the truth."

I sighed. I knew this was coming.

"Alright." I said before I hung up.

Then I sat in my room, well, Edward's room and read a book. Ancient book.

Boring! As hell!

But! Wait! I read it any way. Soon I heard the front door open indicating that everyone is back.

I go down to see them all looking panicked.

"What is it?" I ask.

"The Volturi." Alice said. "I had a vision. They are coming. James, Victoria and Laurent went to them."

I a flash, Edward was by my side. "I won't let anything happen to you. No one is going to touch you." He said caressing my cheek.

I know. They aren't coming with harmful intentions any ways. I thought.

"We need to do something." Rose said.

"We haven't done anything wrong!" I said. "We have nothing to hide."

"They will want you for your powers. You don't know them." Edward said.

Dude! That's your future in laws you bitching about.

"We have to call our friends for help. We have no intentions of fighting. We merely need witnesses." Carlisle said sighing.

"We need witness for what?" I asked. I was desperate. I wanted this to be as small of an affair as possible. But, fate is against me.

And then, everything happened so quickly. The Denalis came to keep me company while the Cullens went out to gather witnesses.

I texted Jane about this. I got a simple reply:

Let them do what they wish to.

But, this will end badly and I know it. Why didn't I tell the Cullens? Why can't I tell them?
