Chapter 4: Shying away

It's been 2 days now, since I meet Gray that is. And I would think I'd get used to being around him and his friends, but I had already used up most of my confidence on the first day.

I sigh absentmindedly looking through my closet for an outfit, deciding on an overly large gray one shoulder slip sweatshirt with "NERD" printed in large black letters, the shirt speaks the truth. I put on a navy blue floral skirt and throw on my black ankle length high tops. I throw my hair into a messy bun, add a small amount of concealer and mascara and throw my dumb glasses on.

I suddenly hate them.

I grab my messenger bag and slouch down the stairs, Lucas is sitting at the table with mom and dad all eating breakfast. "Morning." I yawn, my sleeves are too long and I use it to rub at my eyes under my glasses, I hear my brother awe and suddenly I'm wrapped in a giant hug.

"A warm morning bear hug for my little bear" he coos, nuzzling the top of my head, I push him away and whine when he doesn't budge.

"Morning honey" I hear my dad say, I acknowledge him with a small grunt and he smiles, knowing about my terrible moods in the morning.

My mother on the other hand is just like my brother, and wraps herself into my brothers giant smothering hug.

"Mooooom" I whine, she just squeezes harder.

"Good morning bear" she says sweetly before reaching toward the table and handing me cookie and cream pop tarts. "Made them for you, your favorite. You have to go though, or you'll be late." She pushes the warmed pop tarts into my hand and shoos me and my brother along.

"Bye mom" we say and rush toward Lucas truck.

When we arrive at school Danny and Jake are already waiting for us, my brother gets out of the car and giggles like a school girl and run (practically skip) away with his 2 friends.

"Bye, love you too... Asshole." I sigh angrily and slowly make my way out of the truck. I kick the ground angrily, not paying attention to where I was going I bumped into someone.

I open my mouth to apologize but suddenly am interrupted "ew... It's the new freak." I look up surprise an anger visible in my brown eyes.

It's a bitchy looking girl skinnier than a twig, obvious extension and obnoxious blonde colored hair.

She and her crew giggle, I look up and see the only ones not laughing are none other than gray and his friends, one thing I do notice is he has his arm wrapped around this bimbos waist, I cringe angrily, something just stabbed me in the chest.

"Get away from me!" She screeches with a laugh, "I heard you can get fat just by making contact with a fatty!" She laughed, I can already tell she's dumber than a fucking brick.

"I was already planning on it." I seethed my eyes locked with grays "I heard you can become a cunt just by touching one." I finished, her eyes widened and she growled.

"You bitch!" She yelled and brought her hand to smack me, I caught it mid air, she looked petrified.

"Do you know Danny Free? The popular British exchange student?" I questioned darkly my eyes shifted from gray to her, she nodded "you know his friend Jake Narvaez?" I continued. She paused to think before going pale and nodding, "you know there new friend, Lucas Jones?" I didn't even wait for her responds, I assumed she's smart enough to connect the dots. "They're my brothers! And if you touch me. A-fucking-gain, I will ruin your social status faster than you can say 'I'm sorry Valentine!'" I growled throwing her hand away like if I touched it any longer my flesh would burn off.

But I wasn't done, I looked at gray with so much hate and anger he visibly cringed and whimpered, "I dont care if you have my schedule, but if you don't control your bitch, I will." I went to walk away but took the hand I had been holding her with and slapped him a crossed the face, "take her germs back, I don't need any STDs, take her to the vet and get her vaccinated, don't want anyway catching cunt cooties." I finished and stormed off.

There goes the last of my confidence, Today is gonna be great.
