an empty heart

A long, long time ago, there lived a beautiful maiden who had an empty heart.

Her name was Luna.

No one knew why Luna couldn't feel emotions, and no one will ever know why.

Some say that she was cursed on the day she was born, and others say that something tragic happened to her.

She was often judged because of her lack of emotion, but she didn't let it bother her in any way.

However, despite the fact that she didn't mind what everyone thinks about her, she wanted to be normal.

Luna wanted to be the same as the other people.

She wants to know what it's like to be laughing and smiling all the time.

She wants to know what it's like to be afraid of ghosts and monsters.

She wants to know what it's like to be sad, alone and disappointed.

She wants to know how to feel.

Luna thought about her wishes and suddenly became hopeful.

She started doing unbelievable things, just so she could feel anything.

She participated in many joyous festivals and events.

She started to help the poor, and she started to greet everyone with a smile.

She did everything she could to trigger the hidden emotions that are unknowingly existing in her empty heart.

But nothing worked.

She still couldn't feel.

She still felt empty, hollow, and incomplete.

She still wasn't normal.

However, people saw her differently now.

They no longer see her as the emotionless girl; they now think of her as a normal girl.

They now think that she finally managed to know how to be more human.

But they were all lies.

Lies.

Lies.

Lies.

Everything she did, everything her face showed - they were all nothing but pathetic lies.

But she didn't want anyone to mistreat her anymore.

She didn't want her parents to worry about her.

She didn't want her family to have a bad reputation.

And so, she continued to pretend as happy girl.

She pretended to care for people.

She pretended to feel sad.

She pretended to have hobbies.

She pretended to be friendly.

She pretended to be normal.

It was the only way for her to fit in with the world. It was the only way for her to be "normal".

Until, one day. . . she met a boy who was from a village just close to hers.

She met him while she was gathering herbs in the forest.

Sol was his name.

As a gentleman himself, he helped Luna collect the herbs.

Unknowingly, this was the start of a new chapter of their lives.
