Terra's POV
When I got home from school, I was amazed to find not only my sister, but my mom and dad at home as well.
"Hi guys! What a surprise!" I exclaimed," What are you all doing here? Is there a national holiday I don't know about today or something?"
"Oh God, No sweetheart," my mom replied laughing," we just wanted to talk to you.
She then took my hand and took me by my hand and led me the couch in the living room.
"Okaayy, what happened?" I asked skeptically.
"Um...uh..sweetheart........," mom trailed of. "Um sweetheart we really needed to talk to you baby girl." She stuttered.
" I get that mom. Just go on. What happened?"
"We've got to move away baby, we're moving from California to Canada. Your dad's got a promotion there and I also thought that there's more scope for a dermatologist there than here. Your sister, Laila doesn't really mind either, you know with her breakup and all. Ivin will start school there so there won't really be a problem for him. We're going to be leaving after your final exams."she spoke,"I know that this maybe really hard for you but this is a big step forward sweety."
I just sat there and listened to her, speechless. My mind completely blank.
We were going to leave California for good. My whole life had been spent here. All of my friends were here. Most of all Sasha and Miha were here: my bestfriends since when I couldn't even talk. I would be leaving them all behind.
Yes, I could call. Yes, I could face time or skype. Yes, I could visit here but it still wouldn't be the same and then we'd all drift apart over time.
Tears started streaming down my cheeks.
My sister wouldn't even really be affected. She was recovering from a breakup with her five year boyfriend who she'd thought she'd be with for life but had recently found him cheating on her with her bestfriend. This had also severed her ties with her bestfriend. But me on the otherhand wasn't suffering from amy cheating or unloyalty. I had amazing friends, amazing grades, I was still a virgin with no boyfriend either. Oh hell, I hadn't even had my first kiss. I was just waiting for The One.
'Oh sweety," my mom cried, kneeling down to get to my height," We're so sorry but we have to. I wish we could stay for your sake but we can't. I am sorry."
My dad came to my otherside and clasped my other hand with both of his.
"I am also very sorry princess but my job won't allow me to stay here. You know.... there's a perk to this as well. You may get that camera you've always wanted as a payment of gratitude."
I still didn't reply. Then shaking myself out of this reveree I got up and told my parents that I was going to go to my room.
"Oh baby," my mom sighed as I climbed the stairs.
I went into my room and texted my bestfriends to meet me at Touche's, our usual hangout.
I quickly changed my clothes, put on some make up and walked out the door without looking at anoyone, not wanting to see or acknowledge the sympathetic looks given my way.
