I remember when I was a young girl. I was soft, innocent, and free. I was treated like a normal child, I had my parents and they loved me, but there was one thing they never told me: I had another soul inside of my human body. I was only six at the time, so I didn't understand a lot, but I always listened and payed attention. My mother had always told me that I was special and I believed, but didn't understand what she meant. My name is Jonah Albarn. I have light brown hair, green eyes, and pale skin. I never was popular in middle school or the younger grades, but I always seemed to attract the wrong people, especially when I was fourteen. I remember when a bunch of strange guys trying to talk to me, but I told them that I was only fourteen and I wasn't into that stuff, so they just left. Sometime later I remember I felt sick and I threw up a weird purple substance that questioned my family, so they took me to a hospital and brought the substance. I later found out that something or someone has possessed my soul and is living inside of me and I wasn't going to live a long life and that freaked me out. I also remember one time when everyone thought I was okay, they left to put a file in what I had and a I heard the water faucet start to run and I glanced over, but saw nothing. "Hello? Is someone there?" Fourteen year old me asked and I heard a voice in my mind. Hello...? Who are you? I heard a voice ask. "I'm...Jonah...Jonah Albarn. Who are you?" I asked, looking for the voice. I don't have a name and I'm not visible to you or anyone else. Just my actions are. The young male voice said. I then smiled. "I'll call you Luke. How's that?" I asked. Luke...That's perfect. Luke responded. I knew that Luke wasn't visible, but I knew he must have been smiling.

Life's been pretty rough when I was younger but I'm a teenager now, what could go wrong? "Jonah, please come here." Mother called and I sighed softly, but obeyed. "Yeah, what?" I asked, noticing Mom looking me up and down. I guess she didn't like my outfit. I did wear a black tee that had a picture of a semi bloodied rose, black ripped jeans, and white and black all star shoes. I also wore black leather chocker with a heart hook and my hair was dyed a light blue and black. I did look sorta like an emo goth, but what the hell. "Where are you going?" Mom asked suspiciously. I stopped instantly before I was near the door and faced Mom. "I'm...Just going out." I didn't lie. I just didn't tell her the full story. I was actually meeting some friends at the bar. I didn't drink, not because I was only sixteen, but because I absolutely hated the smell of alcohol, beer, wine, and any other type of alcoholic beverage. Now you may ask; Why the hell am I at a bar if I hate alcohol? It's because I'm hanging with older kids to show them I'm cool. This all happened when we were at lunch and I wanted to sit with the cool emo kids and they rejected me because I wasn't cool enough for them, so I'm gonna show them.

"Are you sure you're just going out?" She asked and I shook my head, giving her a small smile. "I'm sure." I answered and left the house. I then stopped acting innocent when I was at least five feet away from the house. I soon arrived at the bar and walked inside, a couple of grown men glancing at me as I entered. My friends then noticed me and one guy grinned. "Hey, you're here. We thought you'd chicken out and not show up." My friend, Alex said and I have a small grin. "Chicken out? Hell no." I rolled my eyes and chucked. One girl ordered a shot and drunk it in an instant. "Let's get the party started!" She exclaimed and everyone soon got a shot, leaving me with nothing. "Aren't you going to drink?" The male questioned, looking down at me. I then tried to play it off. "Yeah, sure. Whatever." I said turning to a near bar tender and grabbing what I knew was alcohol by the smell. Shit....I thought to myself and grinned a bit awkwardly. "To life." I said and took the shot. My eyes widened at the taste. Instead of tasting sickening alcohol, I tasted sweet lemonade. I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable so I changed the drink the bar tender gave you. Luke thought to me and I smiled a bit. "Thanks, Luke." I said aloud and everyone around me looked at me with questioning eyes.

"Um...Who's Luke?" A girl asked and my awkward look came back. "Uh...He's the bar tender. Remember." I said and they actually believed me. I then let out a sigh of relief. Soon, some of the girls were drunk and my close friend Scarlett had her arms wrapped around me while Alex was focused on my...lower body. Fuck me for wearing a tank top....I thought to myself, trying to pull Alex and Scarlett off of me. Managing to do so, I stood and laughed at my half drunken friends. Luke then signaled me. You should go. He thought and I shook my head. "No way, I'm having fun with my friends. What could go wrong?" I asked and suddenly heard a gunshot, making me and I friends pay attention and hide quickly.

"Oh no, a shooter." I spoke to myself, glancing at the others. Scarlett and the girls were frightened while Alex and the two other guys thought of a plan. I was slightly worried, but I couldn't let this happen. My plan was risky, but I stood up and walked in front of the bar table, boldly. The gunman glanced my way and pointed his gun at me, me standing still. "Who the hell are you?" The man asked and I said nothing, him becoming angrier. I have a plan, Jonah, but you have to trust me. Luke said and I took in a soft breath. "Answer me or die!" The gunman said becoming angrier. Do something quick, Luke! I thought and the gun disappeared from the mans hand. Then the man was slapped and fell toward the ground. My eyes widened in surprise. I thought I was the only one who could control you. I thought to Luke and I instantly heard a chuckle from him as he threw various things at the attacker. When the man was announced dead, Luke captured my friends souls and made sure they returned safely to their homes, not to remember a thing.

"Thanks a lot, Lucas." I smiled as I walked home. Anytime, Jonah. He thought and that made me wonder how much power Luke had inside of me. I didn't know a thing  about him. It almost frightened me of how he got into my body, but for now I had to embarrassed it and life my life because I don't know when I'm gonna die. And when that day comes where I take my final breath, I hope I've actually lived a life worth living for.
