I open my eyes and find Ozai is gone. I stand up and put my cloak on and my bag and swords. Then I climb from my window and I begin to run. I ride for almost two weeks straight only stopping briefly for water and food. I knew they were going to catch me. That was the point. I bury my bag in the woods just outside the prison and I tell Nyla to hide. I stand at the top of the hill and I am already surrounded by guards and imperial fire benders. Surrender! I hear one of them say. I breathe out my face emotionless. My plan had worked. I had been able to get the message to the white lotus members through Piando. They come closer and I fall to my knees and out my wrists out. I feel the cuffs tighten around my wrists but they're still loose. Stay down the guard says. We smaller cuffs I hear him say. Just carry her. Another guard says. I watch as he picks me up and we're on the gondola.
