Samantha walked into Harry's house the next morning. And for the first time since the first day she'd met him she felt no trepidation when her fingers wrapped around the front door knob. She pushed the door open without another thought, her smile growing wide as she heard Rufus' nails tapping on the hardwoods while he trotted towards her. He happily accepted her ear scratches, dutifully following her into the kitchen once she was done.
Harry was standing in front of the refrigerator doors, shirtless with both doors wide open. His head was halfway inside, a deep grumble vibrating in his chest. Samantha took a moment to admire his back muscles, flexing and relaxing as he moved. Her eyes traveled down to his ass, currently covered by a pair of white basketball shorts, hanging down low enough that she would see the Calvin Klein emblazoned on his underwear.
She leaned her hand on the counter, a deep, appreciative sigh exiting her lips.
Damn.
"Hey, didn't your mother ever tell you not to stand there with the doors open?"
Harry jumped slightly, his head turning as he peered over his shoulder at her,
"Didn't hear you come in." He stood up, the refrigerator thumping shut as the doors closed. He turned around, "And yes, she did...but this is my house and she's not here right now."
Samantha giggled softly, leaning forward as he leaned towards her. She pecked a kiss to his mouth, her fingers ghosting under his chin when she pulled away,"Good morning."
"Mmmmm..." He hummed, his eyes still closed when she pulled back. He opened them slowly, "Just a peck?"
Samantha raised her eyebrows,
"I didn't wanna overwhelm you, it's still early."
Harry stood up, rounding the island to her. He hooked his arms around her waist. Samantha's hands rested on his chest, her heart speeding up to an alarming rate as her eyes lifted to meet his.
He leaned forward,
"Overwhelm me." He said just before his lips captured hers.
Samantha's fingers pressed into his chest. His arms around her producing a sort of protective cocoon that nothing could penetrate. She could hear her blood roaring in her veins as his tongue pushed past her lips to delve into her mouth. Samantha felt weightless there in his arms, her connection to the ground only because of his embrace. She trembled slightly, unable to hide it from him, he pulled away.
She reluctantly opened her eyes to see him curiously blinking at her,
"Are you alright?" He asked.
Samantha nodded,
"Sorry...just..." She shrugged, "Sorry."
"It's alright." He answered, "I just wanted to make sure you were ok."
He lifted his hand to rest under her ear,"Wanted to ask you something."
"Ok." She answered.
"Album release party is coming up..." He waited to see if she would get where he was going. When she didn't he continued, "Would you come with me?"
Samantha nodded,
"Yeah, well I have to be there anyway to make sure the party prep-"
"Sh." Harry commanded as his finger pressed over her lips, "I want you to be there as my date. Not as my employee. Emma can handle this party."
"But I-"
Harry pressed his finger in a bit harder,
"Watts, I would like you to attend this party with me as my date. My plus one. I want you there with me. Not working for me. Do you understand what it is I am asking you?" She nodded. He imitated her nod, "Alright, now. Will you go with me to my album release party?" She nodded again, her eyes wide. Harry laughed softly as he removed his finger and replaced it with his lips, "You're drivin' me nuts. You know that right?"
