He had always been told that yellow was a happy color. The sun was yellow in the drawings of little kids. Lemonade was yellow, nice and refreshing on a hot summer day. Yellow was meant to bring cheer.
But yellow was unsettling to him.
Yellow was the color of warning. The color of angry bees and nuclear toxins. Lemons were yellow too. And they were sour.
Mood rings disliked the color too. The color represented unease.
And right now, the giant was indeed uneasy. He was always uneasy about his appearance, he was never able to get the full picture. He was never able to be normal.
Maybe I should wear a bright yellow rain poncho. People said that those look ugly.
But the color wasthe same as fresh snow in his eyes. And snow was pretty.
