"Ash," Chris said as he walked into the living room.
"Yes?" She questioned him, a puzzled expression on her face.
"The guys are coming over soon. Do you mind?" He asked, feeling guilty he hadn't have asked first.
She shrugged her shoulders.
"No. It's cool. It's not like I had plans today at all." She was lying. She had a date with a friend she hadn't seen since grade-school for coffee at noon. They were to meat and Ash's house.
"Thanks babe," Chris said as he ran up to her and hugged her. "We're working on our new album so we're going to be in the basement." Ash smiled.
"Good luck!" She replied to him as he went into the basement to set up the equipment.
Ash put the sandwiches she was making in the frypan over the stove and walked over to the phone.
"Hey!" She said as the man on the other end of the line picked up. "Chris has band practise today." She paused. "Yer.." Silence. "Meet down town? Yes. See you then!" She put the phone down, ending the call.
One her return back to the stove, she turned it off and cut the sandwiches before placing them on a plate.
Ash made her way into the basement where Chris was sitting on the couch fixing tape to the bottom of his microphone.
"Lunch?" She asked him, sitting the plate beside him on the couch.
"Thank you." He said as he stood up, put the microphone in the stand and kissed her lips.
Suddenly, 5 men appeared at the entrance to the basement.
"Naw! That's a bit cute!" Ash turned around, noticing it was the bass player, Devin 'Ghost' Sola, who had made that statement.
"Shut up!" Chris said, chuckling a little to himself. "You and Kylie do it all the time!"
Ash stood on her tippy-toes and hugged him, as Chris was much taller.
"Have fun. Don't piss off the neighbours... Again. I'm going down town for a while. See you." Ash said as she walked up the stairs.
"Ricky. Balz. Ryan. Angelo." She paused. "Devin." She said evilly. He hugged her.
"You know I love you, Ash!" He said as she hugged him back.
"Have fun!" She yelled as she shut the door and left.
