I Promise.~ Chapter 4

Chapter 4.

A month has passed at Nokumora academy and Esmae finally felt like a whole load of stress has been taken off of her. Esmae slowly grabbed a pencil and shaded in an chibi version of herself, she smiled and looked towards the drawing. "Chibi Chibi Esmae?" Esmae punched Avery in the shoulder and laughed, just as Avery kissed Esmae on the cheek he blushed and hesitated. "Esmae?" Esmae got up, Hailey had already had her bags packed along with her clothes. "I guess this is our goodbye.. It's the end of the school year." Avery gave Esmae a tight squeeze and sobbed. "Keep in touch ok?" Esmae nodded and smiled "Avery.... There's always been this one question on my mind." Avery lifted up Esmae's chin to where their eyes met. "What is it?" Esmae embraced Avery in a hug and whispered "Will you go out with me?" Avery smiled and nodded, he messed up Esmae's hair and blushed. "Of course, but you know I'd always protect you right?" Esmae nodded and sobbed, just as Hailey dragged her away back to the Porsche she curled up in a ball in the passenger front seat.

"She'll be back next year..." Rylee looked towards Esmae and smirked, her eyes narrowed. "That is, if she makes it through something terribly tragic." Avery sat on the stairs, watching as the Porsche pulled out of the gates and into the small road. His heart was broken as he watched his girlfriend leave. Avery's phone went off and there was a large written text-

Avery,

Sorry if I didn't get to say Je t'aime before I left! But anyways Je t'aime and maybe we could hang out in the summer time, along with winter too! But anyways.... I love you.

Avery smiled at the text and held his phone to his heart. "I love you Esmae... Forever that will always be." He quietly mumbled, getting off of the stairs and heading inside for a cup of hot coco.

Esmae arrived at the cemetery the rain poured down on the city and cemetery. Leaving Esmae completely doused in water along with her tears. she glanced over at her mothers grave. Memories flooded of her being 5 and running towards the grave, her sobbing and shouting of "Mummy mummy! Don't leave me alone!" Esmae gripped her wrists tightly while holding a bouquet of roses. She sat them on the grave and plopped herself down in front of it, she gulped and quivered. "I....I'll be with you guys soon... I....I promise." Esmae hugged the grave tightly, the stinging pain of her heart killed her on the inside. She missed Avery and having a full family. Instead of having a hateful brother & sister, she knew what she had to do. Just to escape from it all.
