I Promise.~ Chapter 6

Chapter 6.

Kenni looked towards the tv which was broadcasting one of those creepy news alerts. "BEEEP..... BEEEP BEEEEEP..." Kenni turned off the tv and plopped herself onto the ground. "Avery, where's your dad?" Avery looked towards Kenni and shrugged. "I dunno, but I'm more worried about Esmae. She could be hurt or anything..." Avery got up and bolted for the gates, followed by Kenni.

Esmae bolted towards the skyline for downtown, she had to get somewhere besides there. Esmae skidded to a stop glancing towards the dark alley way. She slowly took steps deeper into the alley way. The gate slammed shut leaving her trapped in an dead end. 5 gang members walked up to Esmae, holding knives and guns. "What's a pretty snowflake like you doin' in our side of town?" Esmae gulped and backed up against the wall. "We should kill her." The second guy aimed the gun straight for her legs, all of them bolted for her stabbing along with the blasting of a gun shot echoed throughout the alley way. The gang members bolted for an escape as Esmae dropped to her knees, her clothes drenched in blood.

Avery heard the gunshot and ran towards The alley way. Esmae slid down the wall covering her wounds. "Avery?" Esmae smiled and slowly got up, her cheeks and skin a pale white. She shuffled her feet over to Avery who was in shock and sobbing. "Esmae! You're gonna be fine I promise!" Esmae lifted her right bloody hand and caressed his cheek, smiling. "Don't worry... I'll always be with you in the heart" Esmae pointed to his heart and smiled "and your mind... You'll be fine sweetheart I kept my promises... I'll always love you forever.... I.....I.... Promise..." Esmae collapsed onto the ground, a pool of blood surrounded her.

Kenni arrived with paramedics and the cops, Esmae's body was picked up and carried into an ambulance. Avery sat next to Esmae and sobbed. "It's my fault that I let you go... It's my fault...." Esmae didn't reply, she had difficulties breathing, Kenni glanced at Esmae and teared up a little. "She's...... She's..." Kenni stuttered, sitting beside her brother. "She can't be gone... She just can't be!!!" The paramedics sighed and carried Esmae off into the emergency room. "it's best if you sit tight, kid." Avery stood in the hallway, watching Esmae slowly go into surgery. His heart ached for Esmae, Kenni stood beside him and sighed, carrying roses. Avery took the roses and quietly mumbled "I love you Esmae Rose Sakura Katsu Masako."
