I was too excited to just leave you guys hanging, so I'm updating again! Hope you guys like this chapter!

I played with my fingers as I waited on the doctor to re-enter the room. When I couldn't tell the guy his name, he left the room quickly. The doctor followed him with a saddened look washed over his features.

There was a strange feeling deep in my gut telling me that I should know this man. No matter how hard I thought, I just couldn't attach a name to that unfamiliar face. With all of the thinking I was doing, my head began to pound, and the doctor walked back in.

"Who is he?" I asked immediately. The doctor sighed.

"You'll know eventually," he told me.

I rolled my eyes, which didn't help the growing migraine. I started to rub my temples, trying to relieve some of the pain.

"Lie down, you need some rest. Try not to strain your memory too hard. You'll find everything out in time. You need to allow your brain to relax."

I exhaled deeply, and got comfortable against the soft pillow. I felt my eyelashes hit my cheeks as my eyelids fluttered close. I slowed my breathing, chasing sleep desperately, even though I've obviously slept for a while before.

"So sitting alone is what you do at parties?"

I was sitting on a log facing a beach. I didn't know exactly which one.

"Well it beats listening to Josh tell the story of how many times he's screwed every girl in our town," I turned to look at the voice, " Your friends are unoriginal."

After taking a glimpse of the guy, I realized he was quite handsome. That realization almost made me want to take back my comment. But, I didn't.

He laughed. I could tell he was intrigued.

"Who said they're my friends?" he asked. I gave him an unimpressed look. "They're not?" I asked. He was quiet for a moment.

"That's what I thought," I laughed. He laughed with me.

"So what you're saying is you're too good for our group?" He raised an eyebrow. I playfully rolled my eyes,

"Totally, that's exactly what I'm saying," I replied sarcastically.

"I knew it!" he exclaimed, jokingly.

We sat in silence for a while, listening to the waves crash against the rocks meters away.

"What's your name?" he questioned me.

"Julian," I told him.

He looked like he was thinking for a while.

"Jules!" he exclaimed.

I looked at him, confused.

"Your new nickname. Jules. Cool, right?"

My eyes shot open to see the same white ceiling I saw before I was drawn into sleep. Only this time, the strange guy I didn't know the name of, but a factor of my dream, was sleeping peacefully in a chair next to my bed.

I didn't know whether to speak or touch him to wake his sleeping body.

As I was having a internal mental battle, his body began to stir in the chair, and I didn't have to choose either.

When he saw I was awake, he sat upright at once. "You're awake," he said, groggily.

This reminded me of when I awoke in the presence of the doctor, who said the same thing.

I nodded, refusing to say anything to this stranger. I continued to reach in the depths of my mind for his name, only to be met with failure.

"What's your name?" I asked him desperately. He looked at me, saddened by the fact that I still didn't know. He changed the subject.

"How did you sleep?"

I wondered if I should tell him I dreamed about him, and if it was a memory or just a figment of my imagination. I decided against it.

"Good," I replied.

He nodded. We sat in silence, other than the ticking of the clock on the wall, which was beginning to drive me insane.

"Are you hungry?" he asked.

I began to shake my head no, when my stomach growled, loud enough for him to hear. He chuckled.

"Damn, Jules. When's the last time you've eaten?"

Jules. It was the same name he called me in the dream. The name rolled off of his tongue like he said it on a regular basis. What were we?

He noticed my hesitance to answer.

"Oh sorry, I forgot. You don't really remember me, I didn't mean to call you that. It's just I used to alway-"

"It's fine," I interrupted him. He looked towards me and sighed in relief.

"I'll just go get you some M&Ms. They're your favorite, I know."

I laughed. He looked at me like he hasn't heard the sound in a while. There was a hopeful look behind his eyes as he turned to go out the door.

"I'll be right back"

I sat in the room, alone as I waited on his return. I noticed a TV in the corner of the room, and began to search for the remote control, only to find out it was on the table beside the door.

I moved to get up and the sharp pain that preciously introduced itself to me returned, but worse.

I moved the hospital gown to the side with a great struggle to find the source of the pain. What I found, though, made me gasp.

Along the left side of my body, there was a long gash, obviously from something sharp, that started at my breast and ended right above my pelvic bone. Around it were bruises of all colors, and it was crusted up in the middle. I let my hand guide down it, and the slightest touch made me wince in pain. Slowly, a tear ran down my cheek.

The door to my room opened again, and the unnamed guy walked through.

"I didn't know if you'd want tiny M&Ms or large so I just got you both- Oh Jules.. baby"

He rushed to my side to try and pull the gown back down so I wouldn't have to see it anymore. He was working fast but gentle, as if I would break with a touch harder than a feather.

I could tell he was getting emotional, when his eyes began to glass over. But all I could think of is what he said.

"Oh Jules... baby"
