Nobodies Assassin (I)

Prologue

         

The wind rushed past me as I fell to my death. I screamed as the ground rushed up to meet me. The pain of all my bones breaking was excruciating, I felt all of it before I slowly faded away.

When I opened my eyes, I was back on top of the wall to start the hell over again. I looked up to see the Assassin standing there with a smirk on his face, the cowl of his Assassin robes shadowing his face, making him look sinister.

He stepped forward as I tried to defend myself, but it was useless as he picked me up and hang me on the ledge.

"You can not kill me! No man can murder me!" I shouted.

"Then I leave you at the hand of fate." He said letting go.

I screamed falling to my death again. I do not know how long it has been it could be centuries or hours since I last walked the earth. Since that damned Assassin ruined everything, all that I had worked for. Gone.

I hit the ground all the bones in my body breaking again. I opened my eyes to find myself back on the wall but instead of the Assassin standing there, it was a man in black robes. I could not see his face, but I could feel the power flowing from him. It reminded me of the Apple of Eden the raw power.

And the need to take it for myself.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"No one you need to concern yourself with. I am here to grant you your freedom. If you want it."

"Yes," I said without hesitation.

"Then come with me."

"I can not. I have tried, I can not leave."

"You can now." The hooded man said walking away.

I quickly ran to catch up with him and followed him off the wall, leaving my private torture behind me. He led me to a shimmering blue portal. I stopped not sure if I should follow him farther.

"Where does that lead?" I asked.

"Earth. Do you want to get your vengeance on the Assassins?" He asked turning to look at me.

I nodded.

"Well then come with me."

"The Assassins will know true pain. They will never forget the name, Cesare Borgia." I said grinning. I step through the portal.
