My Dearest Sebastian,
This is a letter I never thought I would have to write. To say that I have agonized over it is an understatement. I come to it now without having had much sleep for a few days, but with a clear realization of what I must say and do.
By the time you read this, I will be long gone. I don't think you'll come looking for me but if it crosses your mind, don't. It's time for me to let you go. I thought our love would stand the test of time and it did, for a while. But it seems that our souls have finally given up fighting for a happy ending we seem to never get. You don't remember but I do as if it happened only yesterday.
I guess I was just too late this time. You have fallen in love with another. I hope you find the happiness you deserve. You've suffered too much not to get it. I will always remember the time we spent together as well as that one passionate night. I will live out my life, this last life, loving you till my dying breath. Looking up at the stars in the home we longed to have.
