Chapter 7: "The time is now"

Yo I'm not dead!
Aaaaand no, I didn't figure out what I wanted to do with the plot. I think I lost inspiration. I really regret rushing this story from the beginning.

There is 1 chapter left, I'll publish it right now, and then it'll be over.
I intended to make this story longer when I started writing it, I don't know what happened. I promise I'll re-write it later. But I want to end it now so I can work on other projects during summer, before I'm back to school again. Really sorry guys.

Let's just get this over with.

???'s POV (You might figure out who that is as soon as you start reading but I just wanted to write a mysterious POV lol) (alright I won't talk again)

I looked around through my helmet, reaching for my double katana and putting it in the scabbard on my back. There were some daggers on the table so I took them too. Who knows? I might need them.

Kai's POV

I kept fiddling with the flame between my fingertips, eyes fixed on the wall. I let out I sigh I didn't know I was holding.

I'm tired of waiting.
Those Serpentine are getting on my nerves more than Jay ever did.

I glanced to the corner, and there was Skylor. She was zoning out, gaze fixed on the wall. And she actually looked adorable.
A smile found its way to my lips, and I started wondering how we ended up like this.

I just wish this can end up like in stories, where the lovers simply run away and live together.
But this is not a story, and we can't run away. [or I can actually actually turn it into a story later. Yeah, later.]

I looked at her, she was still spacing out. I called her name, "Skylor.."
She looked at me, and hummed in response. But I didn't have anything to say. I opened my mouth and tried to form something coherent, but nothing came out. 

Just then, a loud *BAM!* was heard, and the walls on the other side collapsed. Cole burst in through the wrecked walls, and shot me a smile.
Thanks God, it's finally time.

The fighter in black smashed his fist against the ground, causing another group of serpentine to fall off their feet. His pale blonde friend soon came and froze them into a block of ice.

"Where is Princess Skylor? And Kai?" questioned Zane.

"I've gotten them out. Paleman and Ash are taking the Princess somewhere safe."
Zane nodded, making notice of the group of Serpentine coming for them.

"Let's take care of these and get out."

Zane aimed two of his shurikens at a snake, then pulled his sword and stabbed another. The earth master gathered his strength, and lifted a mass of rocks, then threw it at the snakes, taking most of them out .

Then, in the distance, they noticed a big fire on the other side of Ouroboros. The two fighters exchanged a look, then decided it's time to go back to their camp.

-- Meanwhile at the Elemental Masters' camp --

The princess changed into an orange sleeveless kimono gi, similar to the other fighters'. She walked out of the small tent, where Lloyd was waiting for her. "Come on, they're probably all waiting."
She nodded, and followed him.

The camp wasn't big. A few small tents, surrounding a bigger one. This was the one they went into.

Inside, Cole and Ash were sharpening their swords. Zane was bandaging Jay's foot that got hurt during the fight. Paleman was sitting next to Karloff, who was fumbling with a screwdriver to tighten the screws in his metal fists.
As soon as they stepped in, all eyes fell on them.

"Welcome back, Princess Skylor." Said the ice master, bowing his head.

Before the girl could respond, Lloyd spoke. "Is everyone back yet?"

"One team is still missing. Gravis, Neuro, and Jacob."

Skylor's eyes scanned the room again.

But....
"Where is Kai?" She questioned.

"Did he get captured again?" Paleman asked, annoyed.

As soon as Paleman finished his sentence, a scared Neuro burst in, shouting. "They caught Jacob and Gravis!" (I'm totally not getting rid of characters 'cause I have no idea what to do with them.)
Then, another figure entered after him. A mysterious fighter, in a full black and red samurai armour (oh you know who), carrying the master of fire. Everyone stood up, suddenly alarmed.

"As expected, Chen came after us." Neuro went on. "We were outnumbered, but this samurai saved us."

"NYA WHY THE ACTUAL HELL ARE YOU HERE I THOUGHT WE TOLD YOU TO STAY BACK!!!" Jay immediately yelled.

Nya placed her brother down, then took off her helmet. "Well apparently you guys can't handle it all by yourself. I thought you would appreciate the help." She rolled her eyes.

Jay was about to open his mouth to protest, but Lloyd stopped him. "You can argue about it all you want later, but now we have a more important matter at hand."
Everyone nodded.

"Well I know what you're trying to do, but what's your plan exactly?" The princess asked

"We're getting captured." He stated.

"What??!!"
