An Unknown Quest // Harrymus

Part 1

The halls of the Hogwarts were empty. Not a single person could be seen anywhere. But only one boy was standing at the very far end of the hall and staring out blankly. Harry Potter. He has been an anomaly for all his life. Never was he allowed to live a normal life. All along his life he was expected to do something that even he was not sure he will be able to achieve any day. But now when all was over, he was gifted with something more which made him stand out of the crowd yet again. Yet again he became an anomaly. Now he was a werewolf.

Harry was thinking about everything that has happened so far along his life. He suddenly started to feel very bad about Remus. Now Harry could understand what he felt all along this time. He felt so lonely, so scared, so filthy. He would never be allowed to have a normal job again, though that didn't worry him so much because he had enough money in his vault to last a lifetime. But the thing that broke him was that now he would have to live all his life as a dirty little secret of the wizarding society.

Harry was so engrossed in his thoughts that he never noticed the people that were approaching him.

"Hey Harry." Someone called. Harry snapped his head towards them. He saw that Neville, Ron and Hermione were standing with concerned faces. But the real shock came to him as he saw the people who were standing at their back. Draco Malfoy, Blaise Zabini and Theodore Nott were standing there with a nervous smile on their face.

"They wanted to apologise for their actions. They were frightened to defy Voldemort. So they took the dark mark." Hermione's voice broke through Harry. Harry turned his gaze towards Hermione for a moment before turning back to the three odd members of the group.

"It's okay. I believe you all. And Malfoy thanks for saving me in the Malfoy Manor. Without your help it would have been impossible. But do you want to return to your family or stay with us?" Harry asked with a slight smile.

"That's what you say after everything we have done to you?" Draco asked with a shocked expression. The other two were wearing a similar kind of expression.

To their amazement Harry laughs. "What do you want me to do Malfoy? Hex you to the next year? Or did you expect me to have a teenager temper tantrum like many of yours?" Harry said sarcastically. Everyone laughs at that expect Draco who blushed bright red.

"Yeah, well. No need to be so sarcastic." Draco grumbled with a cherry red face.

"Actually we wanted protection from our family. They will not take our defection of the Dark Lord so lightly." Blaise said after sometime. The others agreed.

"Yeah, of course you can have. I will talk to the Order members." Hermione said smiling. The three Slytherins smiled at her widely.

"But I have one condition." Harry spoke suddenly. Draco, Blaise and Theo looked at Harry with grim faces.

"What's your condition?" Theo asked in a nervous voice. Harry smiled at them. The other three Gryffindors were staring at Harry trying to decipher his intention.

"To remain with us, you will have to behave like one of us. All of us call Voldemort by his name. No one among us call him Dark Lord or any other thing. So, if you want to stay with us, you have to also say his name." Harry said grinning. Hermione, Ron and Neville started laughing. The three Slytherins looked as if they have sucked a lemon.

"Um, it will take some time." Draco said after sometime. Harry shook his head.

"Take it as our way of testing your change in loyalty." Harry said smiling.

"Now, you have to follow his order to enter our headquarters. He is the head of the Order." Neville said smirking.

"Come on, even Tonks who is a Hufflepuff can say his name, why can't you three? Are you even less than a Hufflepuff?" Ron said slyly.
