Percy POV

Percy Jackson, savior of Olympus, defeater of Kronos and now Gaea, the most loyal of them all, and you can't forget Seaweed Brain, was nervous. I stood in front of Oceanview Highschool in San Francisco. I missed Goode Highschool, but I was also so excited to be in Annabeth's school, so I wouldn't have to miss her for the whole school year. Now I could be with her the whole time! Annabeth's dad and stepmom are letting me stay in their guest room at their house. They are just so nice! After Annabeth left for school an hour earlier than she's supposed to, 'cause she's Annabeth, I came in and put all my stuff away. Now I arrived, thanks to Annabeth's stepmom, at her school, where I could surprise her. She was going to love it! Yeah, I know, we've only been away from each other for three months, but with my ADHD, it has felt like YEARS. Now I could finally see her again!

I walked in, getting some whispers from girls like, "I haven't seen him here before," or, "Wow, he's new and cute," and stuff in that range of gossips. I just rolled my eyes, hoping they got that I came here for a reason. Wait, they wouldn't know that, because I haven't and won't tell them! Ugh. Stupid ADHD! I wandered around, looking for a head of blond princess waves, but I couldn't find anyone that looked as beautiful as her. I just shrugged. She could be in the girls bathroom, or outside, or still in her car, or anywhere else, so I just walked off to the administrators offices so I could get my schedule and locker number.

Shawn POV

I stared into Annabeth's cloudy, beautiful gray eyes as she went on and on about her fake boyfriend, the 'Percy Jackson'. It had been exactly three months ago when she had made the deal with me if she couldn't prove her 'boyfriend' was real in three months time, she had to stop turning down the hottest guys in school, including me, unless she really hated them. I was her closest friend at school, and I knew time was up. She always made lousy excuses like, "He's a really busy guy!" or, "I tried to contact him but he was at swim practice!" which I don't really get because she doesn't even have any electronics at home. How can she even survive! She always told her friends Nicole, Mark and I that he was the best swimmer in the world, that he could be anyone in the school, even me, easily!

I am and always have been the swim captain of my grade since Freshman year, and now I'm a senior. Annabeth doesn't even think of me as that good, compared to her 'real' boyfriend. Ugh! How hard is it to admit that she doesn't have a boyfriend, 'cause I would be happy to apply to the job.

I've known Annabeth since Sophomore year, so, since she came to this school. We are great friends, but between you and me, I want to be more than her friend. Her beautiful gray eyes, wavy blonde hair, and her smart but wonderful personality. She probably didn't know I like her, but Mark and Nicole knew.

Mark and Nicole are dating, so it makes Annabeth and me awkward, since us four are the closest of friends. Nicole has brown hair a little bit after her shoulders for length and emerald green eyes. Mark is the towhead, with light blond hair and electric blue eyes, and I have to admit, I'm jealous. I wish Annabeth and I had those same feelings for each other. Of course, I have those feelings for her, but she doesn't have those for me. She's dating 'Percy Jackson' whoever he is, even though I know he is not real. She talks about him all the time, which is really annoying. Anyways, I was talking to her about that three months is way to long to prove that her 'real' boyfriend exists, and she was literally pleading. It was quite cute, actually. With her cloudy gray eyes doing the puppy dog, and her face, and her, ugh! Everything about her was perfect! Sorry, getting off topic. She was talking and talking, and I was just pretending to listen, but actually looking at her amazing features.

"Shawn, Shawn, are you even listening? Percy is real, and, he is really busy. He lives in New York, and, and- he's right there!" Annabeth pushed me and I stumbled. I turned to see a guy, about an inch and a half taller than me. He had shaggy black hair, bright green eyes, and, I was a little jealous at this, muscles much bigger than mine. He was really tan, and he had a mischievous grin like he had always waiting for the police sirens. He looked like the kind who got into trouble a lot. How could Annabeth even like this guy? He was wearing an orange shirt that had some kind of- what looked like Greek- symbols and a silhouette of a, Pegasus? Wow, manly shirt. Annabeth squealed, something she never did. This so-called Percy picked up Annabeth and spun her around in the air. After he set her down, they kissed, a long, uncomfortable for me, kiss. When they finally parted for air, Annabeth was grinning ear to ear, almost literally.

"Oh Percy, I missed you so much! And I, love, your shirt, haven't worn mine in forever because it got too small. I need to get a new one, but Percy, what are you doing here, you go to Goode!" wow, Annabeth can babble when she's happy. Percy just grinned even wider as well.

"Well, Annabeth, surprise! I finally convinced my mom to transfer me to Oceanview. I made some arrangements with your dad and stepmom. I'm living in your guest room. Isn't that great?" Annabeth leaned in and gave Percy another disgusting, big kiss, then she smiled.

"Of course it is! This is like the best day ever! Besides defeating you-know-

who and getting to celebrate, but other than that, this is definitely the best! Well, besides our first official kiss, and our underwater kiss, and that kiss-" Percy cut her off.

"Annabeth, I can tell you like kissing me, but not in front of- uh, who is this?" Percy gestured to me, and I tried to push down all my anger.

"Uh, this is Leo- um I mean Jason- ugh! I meant Shawn. This is Shawn. My other friends are Mark and Nicole. Don't know where they are, though. Omigods! I mean, oh gosh! I can't believe you are staying here for the rest of the year! This is almost the best thing ever. Besides all our kisses, and the stable night..." Annabeth and Percy both blushed, like something had happened at the... stable night? Wait, night? What, does that mean? Uhhh... "It was the most awkward thing when Frank came in and he was like, 'oh sorry, but I think I found Percy and Annabeth...' He had been so uncomfortable, it was funny!" Percy nodded in agreement.

"Kissed a couple of times... not helping! That was hilarious!" Annabeth and Percy both burst out laughing, as if it was some kind of inside joke. It had been only a couple minutes after Percy had arrived, and I already felt left out. Jealousy and anger boiled up inside me and wanted to punch Percy. Hard. I glared at Percy, and he glared back. Annabeth looked between us, and sighed. She leaned up and whispered something in Percy's ear. He grinned like a madman.

"Oh, alrighty then!" he said to Annabeth. He looked at me and held out his hand. I reluctantly took it and he smiled at me, "I can tell that we're going to be..." he glanced at Annabeth, who rose her eyebrows at him, "... Great friends." I just rolled my eyes. He really think he's gonna be friends with me? He stole my girl! Well, she actually wasn't ever my girl but... oh, who cares! I'm gonna get him back! With help from Nicole and Mark!

"Sorry, Shawn, but I don't want to break up their relationship. Annabeth's happy, so I'm happy. I don't want to ruin her life!" Nicole just shook her head, "Sorry, Shawn, but Annabeth's my friend, and I don't wanna make her my enemy." Mark nodded in agreement. Ugh! Why does he always have to side with his girlfriend! Mark's my best friend!

"Shawn, I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Nicole. Annabeth's my friend too, and I was talking to Percy a bit ago, and he seems like a nice guy. I'm... I'm friends with him now, and I don't want to hurt any of their feelings!" with that, Nicole and Mark ditched me. I clenched my fists. Mark had already sided with Percy? Annabeth talked about Percy way too much when he wasn't around, but now that Percy is here, it's going to make things ten thousand times more hard to get Annabeth! My eyes narrowed, I'm going to get revenge. And make Annabeth mine.
