Third Person pov One of Murphy's blends brought in the boy who seemed to go through heaven and hell to resist his control.10k
"We need to go back to whatever we used before paper was invented"Murphy said as he sipped his tea but got no answer from the sniper
"Right you never were on for small talk.You can sit down you know"But 10k Just stood
"Sit down"Murphy complained and Tommy couldn't figure out if it was his control that made him sit or his own free will
"We need to talk about something.And by something I mean you"Murphy started as the blend left the room
"You're not like the others.They've excepted being blends,embraced it even.Its the best thing that ever happened to them"
"But you,once you've had a booster shot you're a pain in the ass.And when you haven't,you just sort of fade into oblivion.If I didn't know any better I'd say your hearts not into it"He then threw the knife he was holding at the boy who sat at another table,which he easily caught it right before it pierced his face
"You react,but you don't act"Murphy explained as he moved to the table where 10k was
"I need you to take initiative here.We are preparing to go to war.And you should be the here at the front of my army.My Ajax.My Achilles,My Luke Skywalker.Its a problem And we need to fix it"
"And I think I know how"Murphy took his hand and placed it in the table as 10k mirrored him.He then took the knife and turned it so it faced the table
"I think it's that stupid name.Ten thousand.10k isn't just a name to you,it's your mission,your purpose.But as far as I can see,as long as your 10k,your no good to me"
"But I can see it in your eyes,not only is it your name but that little girlfriend of yours"10k blinked twice.And actual reaction and that made Murphy smirk
Because when it came to Sarah,that seemed to be the only thing he cared about.Sarah over anything and for Murphy that was a huge problem
"So have decided to give you a new mission,Thomas.But I need to know I can trust you"And then with his mind,he made 10k drop this knife he had in his hand
"Do you know the knife game"Murphy asked 10k and he simply nodded
"Show me"And 10k showed him exactly what the game was,placing the knife between each space of his fingers
"If It were any of the other blends,there wouldn't be question"He said as 10k continued the game
"But you and I have a history and I need to know that won't interfere with things.I need to know what you're willing to do for me"He said as 10k's hand got faster with the game
"I need to know you are willing to kill for me Thomas.Or die for me"10k's Hand went faster than before and tears pooled his eyes as he felt the knife cut into his skin and the control Murphy had on him
"Enough"The blue man said as 10k pulled the knife away and blood stained the map,not a lot,and he set the knife down
Murphy stood up with a rag in his hand and picked up 10k's hand to clean it up just as a tear rolled down his cheek.Murphy had control over almost all of him now
"Good thing this isn't your trigger hand"He stayed and wrapped his hand up
He sat next to the young boy and spoke
"Now let's talk about your new mission"
Murphy whispered in 10k's ear what he wanted him to follow through with.But 10k didn't want it at all,he hated Murphy but all he could think about was how much he needed to follow through with this plan.He had to
"You understand what I want you to do"Murphy asked as he slipped the sniper a note.As he gave a small nod
"I have a surprise for you"He held up one of the injectors and Tommy looked at it like it was the end to the apocalypse,but to him it was the end of his slavery
"Go ahead"Murphy gestures to the injector that held a part of 10k's humanity
"That's what you wanted right?To be yourself again?To be human"Murphy asked as 10k picked up the injector and held it right above the crook of his elbow
He couldn't do it.The thing he wanted the most seemed so far away.The blend part of him was fighting harder than the human part of him was.And even though he didn't want to lose that fight,he thought he might already have
"Your transformation is complete"Deep down in 10k's brain he knew he never wanted to hear those words
Murphy took the injector and signaled 'Thomas' to get going with his plan.And just before he fully walked out the room
"Remember what we talked about"But he really didn't want to but he did
As 10k was finally in what seemed like his normal attire,meaning something all black,his googles placed on top of his head,and his sniper he loved so much
He passed the zombie moat and slung his sniper over his shoulder that had bags on it too.He stopped right outside the moat and looked at the dog tags Murphy had given him "Thomas" he didn't like it,sure it technically was his name but he didn't want it anymore if that's what he referred to him as
But sadly he couldn't do anything about it,so he simply tugged the tags beneath his shirt.And thought
'Sarah would want me to fight it.And she wouldn't call me Thomas.Its too formal,she likes Tommy,10k,even Ten"
He took out the note that Murphy had slipped in his hand and read it
'Find Warren.Bring her to me,if she won't come kill her'
He didn't want to hurt Warren,especially since she knew Sarah would be there with her.And he didn't want to her to see him like this,a blend but still fighting for whatever humanity he had left
Sorry this chapter is so short,I forgot what had happened in this episode and didn't realize I'd be short and I also did want to skip it
