For new chapter 🌸
~

"And you're sure you'll come back to visit me?" My mom asks with a tear in her eye as we pull away from a hug.

"Yes mom." I chuckle, "I'll be back every break I can, okay? It's only high-school ."

"Yeah I know," she sighs, unwrapping her small arms around me. "I'm just going to miss having you around here."

"It's okay mom, I'll always be here whenever you need me." I smile reassuring to the woman in front of me.

The one whole gave birth to me and the one who watched me grow up. The one who loved me and put up with all my shit for sixteen years now. The one who was there for me and the one who never gave up on me. The one who believed in me and always stood behind me. This woman right here, I love with all my heart and no woman in my life, ever, is going to replace or be more important than her.

"How?" She exclaims with slight tears going down her face. "You're going to be in a while other country, thousands of miles away from me and you want me to think you can always be there? Justin, it's the Unites States, you know that's not a good place for people like you."

Reaching my hand out, I gently try to wipe her tears away so I don't hurt her. "Doesn't matter how far apart we are," I start with a sad smile. I feel she's hurt and I know this is what's causing it but I know she's also very proud of me. "I will always be there if you need me. I'm only one call away."

Although we live in Canada right now, I had gotten a good opportunity to go to a school in California, United States on a visa. I basically get to to highschool there for free and they pay for all my expenses there (example, rooming, food, etc). Apparently if I do good in this school, I automatically get enrolled into any college of my choosing - overseas or not.

She sighs again and pulls me into a hug, "I love you, Alex." She says and I smile.

"I love you too mom."

"Flight 198B to California now arrived. Please stand by at gate three. Flight 198B to California." The lady on the loudspeaker spoke and my mom starts to cry more, her grip tighter on me.

"I don't want you to go," she sniffles, "who's going to make sure I water all the flowers right?"

Ever since I was little, my mom would always water the garden after I got home from school and I remember learning about how much water you're supposed to give to a certain flower and how much sunlight they're supposed to have if you want them to grow the most they can and I saw my mom not put enough water as my teacher told us to. I remember telling her "mom, you're going to kill the flowers."

She turned around to me with a smile on her face and sweat around her hairline. "No baby, I just watered them."

I ran over to her watering can and took it out of her hand and watered the flowers a little more. My mom was just chuckling behind me. "I did that already honey."

"Yeah but my teacher said you need more if you want them to grow. The soil has to be soaked, mama, see?" I said, moving so she can see the now soaked soil.

"Okay honey, I'm sorry."

I remember sighing and looking back at her with a disappointed face, "now I'm going to have to watch you everyday."

"Mom, it's okay. I'm sure dad will be happy to watch you water the garden for now on." I say with a little chuckle and she just sighs dramatically.

"You know he's never even awake by the time I water them and if I wait..." she starts,

"They'll die." I finish for her with the hugest grin on my face.

Pulling away from the hug, she looked at me. "Exactly."

"Second call for Flight 198B. Second call for Flight 198B. Gate three, To California." The lady spoke again, ripping my attention away from my mom.

"Okay mom, I really have to go. I love you." I say looking at her. "I'll be back for Christmas, okay?"

"Christmas??" She cries, "it's barely August."

"We'll talk everyday, now I really have to go. I love you." I say as I give her a kiss on the cheek and another really quick hug.

"I love you Alex. Call me when you land."

"I will mom," I say turning around, wheeling my luggage behind me. "Be safe."

"You too baby," she waves me off and I completely turn around heading off to gate three.

[ note; I do lose interest in writing books because I don't get any feedback or input and It makes me feel like what I'm writing doesn't deserve to go anywhere or it's not good enough and I don't know how to fix it, resulting in me abandoning the book so PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK. I appreciate it so much ❤️ ]
