High School Madness

Chapter 2

My hopes fade quickly as I turn to face the person behind me....He has dark green eyes and hair as black as night..He hasn't changed a bit apart from growing taller and all..Harry Robson.Ugh.. really....

"Hey"he says shyly not making eye contact with me, I want to walk away, why on earth would he want to talk to me? "Hi" I say meeting his eyes, we both stare at each other for a moment saying nothing..

Harry clears his throat and breaks the silence "I was wondering...you know...if...umm" I look at him curiously.Where is this going? "If you would..umm" he looks up in my eyes "go out with me?"

"What?!" I say a little to loud.Harry looks up at me red faced embarrassed, looking like he wants to cry.I'm sorry but me? After everything? Really? Wow this boy must be desperate...

"Oh,Harry I'm sorry" He lifts his head up slowly, I continue "it's just...". I really don't want to finish that sentence with the truth and hurt him anymore, so I lie "I don't want to really date guys" I can't give him eye contact I'm a crap lier.

Sam calls out, "Harry come here, there's someone I want you to meet" Harry gives me one last look of despair then says quietly "I better get going, bye" he walks off quickly clearly still upset.

I look over to Mum who must of moved on from Sam and is now talking to a young lady that looks like she could be a teacher. I feel a sharp tap on the shoulder I spin around.

Looking at me is the girl I would of loved to see in the mirror this morning she has blonde hair and gorgeous blue eyes.She is skinny and could pass a Bikini model even after eating a big mac.

She holds out her hand "Ella Belle" I shake it a little to hard. "Rosie Karin" I stutter.Next to her is two pretty girls smiling at me "Emma"She points the girl with dark black hair; she smiles."And Hayley" She points to the girl with gorgeous blond hair;she nods.

"Anyway" she continues "Did Harry Robson just ask you out?" She me over clearly judging if I'm good enough for the "popular group". "Umm yes" the three of them giggle she whispers something that sounds like "creep".

"Harrison used to date Ella" Emma says through a snorted laugh.Harrison? Wow, that sounds so.......formal "Yeah and Ella cheated on him" Hayley giggles I look at Ella shamefully.Yes, Harry's a creep but cheating on him that's just mean....

"What?" she asks innocently "Jason is way cuter" the girls nod. The bell rings "Girls lets go, sit with us at lunch Rosie kay? "Ummm...maybe" But before I can finish they walks away...

"Year sevens this way " booms a teacher pointing into the hall I follow the crowd I turn back quickly and spot my Mum see looks me in the eye and smiles.Turn back to the front and mutter to myself "so this is high school".....
