I stopped to take a breath. "Breathe in, breathe out ", a voice in my head told me. I struggled to think, a whirlwind of thoughts like a hurricane in my head. I heard loud footsteps on the pavement behind me signaling his presence. My senses were overloaded with the overpowering smell of rotting garbage, the splashes of rain pelting the concrete and the bustling noises of the city. I ran, pushing everybody out of my way. I felt a pair of fingertips brush my coat, I tried to run faster but my lungs were on fire and my legs were as heavy as lead. I heard my name being called followed by swear words. Someone pushed me into an alley, as I stumbled there was a distinct crashing sound before I realized it was my phone with a now cracked screen. I looked up from the carnage to see who pushed me. My eyes met his and a horrified look formed on my face when it was evident there was a smirk on his. "Finally, I caught you. You should never have run away from me. Now its going to be even worse. And don't even try that again 'cause next time it won't be this easy," he said to me, expressionless. I gulped and looked around me, but got butterflies in my stomach when it was confirmed there was no exit. I turned around only to see two more guys talking to him, both with huge muscles and tattoos every where. One of them winked at me before they all came to stand directly in front of me. I cowered under their gazes, but when he raised a bat I let out a sob. He whispered, "This is for your own good". I raised my hands in a weak attempt to protect myself. He swung, and I heard a sickening crunch before the world went black.

AN: Sorry guys it's really short but the other chapters will hopefully be longer. But I need it this length to leave it on a cliffhanger and to give you a quick look into what's going to happen. Read on cupcakes! And I appreciate any votes or comments, especially for new ideas.
Au revoir!
