Shawn's POV
I was paired up with Madison. Did I mind? Not at all. She was probably one of the only girls that weren't slutty at our school. She was nice, pretty, funny and she wasn't afraid to be herself and you could see that. I'd never met such a positive person in my life. She seemed pretty supportive about my singing career.
Parking my Mercedes in the drive, I grabbed my bag and got out. I locked my car and knocked on my front door because I had left my house keys at home. Mom greeted me.
"Hey how was school?" she asked whilst embracing me in a side hug.
"It was good. We're working on a new project in English. It's in pairs and Mrs Amphlett paired me with Madison Grande." I told my Mom whilst walking over to the kitchen with her.
"Amy Grande, Madisons Mom is a very nice person. She's your Nana's doctor. I know her really well." See no one ever tells me anything around here.
"Oh nice. Madison seems really cool too. I'm going over to hers at 5:30 to start the project. Is that ok?" I asked.
"Yes of course it is darling. Don't get up to any mischief." Mom said whilst winking at me.
Ignoring her comment I made my way upstairs and decided to take a shower. I was singing Say Something but Mom interupted me.
"Shawn, it's 5:10 hurry up. You'll be late otherwise. First impressions last honey."
"Okayyy Mom" I whined. I rinsed off quickly and wrapped a towel around myself and walked into my closet. I pulled out a maroon hoody and dark blue jeans. I decided to wear to my white converse with it. I grabbed an apple out of the fridge and said goodbye to my mom, sister and dad who were engrossed in some soppy tv show.
"Don't be late home son. It's a school night son," my dad said as I walked out whilst shouting bye. I got into my car and texted Madison.
Text to Madison-
Me: Hey I'm on my way. Be there in 10.
She didn't reply so I assumed she was busy or her phone died or something similar.
I parked up in her drive. I got out and knocked on the door and a lady around her late thirties opened it. I guess it was her mom.
"Hi, Mrs Grande I'm Shawn. Is Madison in? We've been paired up to do a project for englishand she asked me to come over."
"Hello Shawn. Come on in, Madisons upstairs. I'm sure you'll be able to find her room. If you need anything just come down and ask me. I'll be down here.'
"Okay thank you Mrs Grande," I made my way up the stairs. I literally couldn't hear anything. I felt like a creep going through her house like this. Opening every door then closing it. Finally I opened the last door and there she was. Sprawled across the bed. I walked over to her and faced her. She looked sooo peaceful. I started singing Wake Me Up by Ed Sheeran into her ear. She slowly started to open her eyes and she gave them a little rub.
"You're voice is like sooo perfect." She said. She got up and looked at herself in the mirror.
"Wow I look like a piece of crap," she said whilst stroking her hair down with her hands.
"You look really pretty." She gave me a questioning look but she did look pretty. She was beautiful even when she'd just gotten out of bed.
"Thanks. Sorry for falling asleep. Lets get started with this project then aye." She grabbed her laptop and all her english books and sat on the bed next to me. I told her what to write and she typed it up. I stared at her whilst she typed. She threw her head back and laughed at something I had said, her hair fell forward framing her face, her thin pink lips opening and closing as she laughed. She turned around and looked at me. Shaking my head I focused back on what to write next whilst smiling at the thought of her.
We finished our work at 7:30 so Madison insisted on us watching a movie. We decided to watch Insidious 2 even though she hated horror movies but like I loved them. She turned her head into my neck everytime the scary parts came on. She was literally laying on top of me with her head on my chest, her light brown hair was sprawled across my hoody. She had fallen asleep 45 minutes into the movie. Man this girl sleeps a lot.
I pulled my phone out to text my Mom that I would be a little late home. I tried to lay Madison on the bed but everytime I moved she moved closer to me so I decided to let her sleep for a while and I'd leave once she'd woken up.
3 HOURS LATER
"Shawn wake up. Wake up Shawn!!!!" Someone was screaming into my ears. I opened my eyes squinting and it was Madison. Realising that I had fallen asleep as well I shot up from the bed.
"I fell asleep after you did. Anyways I got to go. See you tomorrow."
I said thanks and goodbye to Mrs Grande. I hopped into my car and drove home. Everyone was asleep so I made my way to my room and changed into a t shirt and shorts. I hopped into bed and decided to text Madison.
TEXT CONVO WITH MADISON
Me: Hey :) Watcha doing
Madison: Hi nothing. I'm just watching The Hills and scoffing my face with Sour Patch Kids because I am soo cool.
Me: Ha but no. I'm cooler and you know it.
Madison: Whateverrrrr. Anyways thanks for being my pillow you were quite comfy.
Me: LOL anytime. Goodnight sweet dreams ;) xxx
Madison: Night
Why did I put kisses? 'Maybe because you like her' my inner conscience was telling me. I don't know. But there was something about her that was pulling me towards her.
