Madison's POV
Hopping around like an idiot trying to put my converse on and find my backpack my Mom was lecturing me from downstairs on how I should be punctual. I grabbed my phone, threw my backpack over my left shoulder and ran downstairs past mom and into the kitchen. I grabbed a Medley breakfast bar and hopped into the passenger seat of my Mom's car.
Few. I was our of breath. How was that for a morning workout aye? My mom lectured me like half of the way to school about how I should make the most of my schooling lalalalalalalalala. I plugged my earphones in and started listening to the Biebs. I didn't realise that I was singing along out 'loud until I noticed Mom was glancing over at me and laughing. (Don't pretend like you've never done that). We both started giggling.
Reaching the school gates I hopped out the car.
"Madison, try not to be late for class. Have fun sweetheart."
"I will totally have fun Mom bye," sarcasm was one of my best traits.
Ariana (my best friend) was waving at me like an idiot and I couldn't help but laugh. We'd been besties since we were babies because our Moms are best friends too.
Yapping on and on about how out weekend was and all the movies we watched we finally stopped talking when the bell of doom rang. Time for first period- English.
Greeting Mrs Amphlett at the door, I took my seat. Mrs Amphlett was the best teacher ever. She was more like a best friend than a teacher. I walked over to my seat and took out my copy of Macbeth and my notebook.
"Good morning class. As you know this is the last term before Summer break which means you have four weeks left of school. You will have a designated partner and you will be completing a four week project about Macbeth with your partner. You will be writing an essay on how Macbeth's character changed throughout the play and creating a presentation on themes used in Macbeth."
I loved English so I didn't mind writing essays and doing presentations. I'm hoping I have a good partner.
Mrs Amphlett started reading out everyone's partners. Ari was paired with one of our good friends Cameron so she was pleased with that.
"Madison and...... Shawn," glancing at me and then Shawn. Shawn was part of the 'popular crew' but he wasn't the type of guy to go out with every girl in the school like some of his friends were. We started talking and getting to know each other and he seemed really cool. He told me that he was a singer, impressive. Ariana and Cameron were laughing really loud so i turned around to see what they were laughing at. They were both looking in my direction and started winking at me and Shawn and doing heart signs with their hands. Talk about embarassing friends, mine would win an award.
The bell rang which meant lesson was over.
"So.. I'll come round to yours at around 5:30-6:00pm. I'll text you before I come." Shawn and I swapped numbers and left. He was coming over to mine after school to start the project as we'd wasted all lesson talking about things that were interesting but not relevant to our project.
As the day went on it just got boring and boring and even more boring as if that was even possible.
The bell rang which meant it was time to go HOME. Best part of the school day had arrived except lunch of course (I love food).
Walking home felt great. it was a sunny day and the cold but soft breeze brushed itself against my skin. Mom was a doctor so she worked through evenings. Unlocking the front door, I threw my bag on the floor and slipped off my converse. I headed to the kitchen and grabbed a snack which consisted of chocolate and chips (I am really healthy, believe me) I don't really know how to cook.
After I had finished eating I decided to have a shower. Letting the hot water run, I stepped into the steamy shower and lathered my hair with coconut shampoo and my body with strawberry soap. I rinsed myself off; wrapped a towel around myself and hopped out.
I walked into my closet and decided to wear a white tank top with blue denim shorts. I sprawled across my bed and decided to ring my Mom. She told me she'd be home for about five and it was only four so i decided to take a nap.
