May pinakita siyang papel sa amin na nagsasabi na-----

Napatingin ako kay Gel at pinakita ko sa kanya yung papel.

I gave her time to read it and maya-maya, she looked at me and I winked.

She looked at the guy and then smiled at him.

“Uh, Kuya, please give us a minute.”

“Oh sure. By the way, I’m Mr. Yang, executive director of the ChocolateMag. Take your time na lang po na mag-isip. I’ll be back when you’re ready. I just think na you two are perfect for this.”

Tumayo siya at dinala niya ako sa labas.

Umalis na yung guy at natira na lang kaming dalaw—

“HOY! PAKINDAT-KINDAT KA PA DYAN HA!”

“NAKO PALAKA! KUNG ANO YANG NAIISIP MO, BULOK NA YAN OY!”

“Listen, Gel.”

I looked at her but she looked away from me.

“Uh—this is it! Ito na yung chance na yun para matapos nating pag-ipunan yung 15, 000! It will offer us more than a thousand by just wearing clothes and undergoing pictorials. So—uhh—would you atleast let this be a chance?”

She looked at me. This time, wala yung anger, rather it was turned to a form of consideration.

Napakaganda pala niya pag hindi nagagalit. Pero, cute siya pag nagagalit. Haay, kakaiba siya. Laging maganda sa paningin ko.

“Okay. I understand.”

Wow. Ang calm niya. Nakakainlove lalo!

“PERO! WAG NA WAG YUNG LALAMPAS SA LIMITATIONS, HA?! KUNDI DI LANG SAPAK MAAABOT MO!”

Inirapan niya lang ako at dumiretso pabalik sa loob ng Starbucks.

Sinundan ko siya pero siya naman, bigla niyang kinuha shoulder bag niya. Kaya, tumakbo ako to stop her.

“...” di siya sumasagot. She continued packing her things and fixing herself.

“I respect your decision. Don’t worry, kahit ako na lang umipon ng kailangan na pera, okay lang sa akin. Just rest. It’s more important.”

“Gel, I’m sorry if I offended you or someth---“

Nilapat niya yung forefinger niya sa lips ko.

“SSSH! Napakarami mong sinasabi, nakakairita, okay?! Hayaan mo na akong kausapin siya para maturuan ng leksyon! And as for you, just SHUT UP!”

Umalis siya at tsaka hinila si Mr. Yang palabas.
