"Are you sure it's mine."

Yerim stares at the boy in disbelief, shock, and awe. She didn't know whether to cry or to drop kick the guy.

"W-What do you mean?" She finally musters up a response after fighting an internal struggle with herself. Her hands started to shake as she falls back to reality. Did he really ask her that question? She swears she's stuck in some angsty TV soap where the boy ditches the girl after he finds out he's her baby daddy. In this case, baby daddy didn't ditch her yet.

Jungkook sighs and she could tell he was already getting tired of repeating himself.

"I asked if the baby is—"

"O-Of course the baby is yours!" She snapped, angered that he would think otherwise. Timid Yerim was no longer present in this conversation.

Sooyoung and Wendy would've been proud.

Before he could open his mouth to utter a word, she beats him to it.

"W-What did you think? That I-I open my legs up to any boy that walks my way? T-That I was desperate enough t-to sleep with you just because y-you were being nice to me? I-I'm sorry, but I'm not the type of girl that easily offers herself up like—like the other girls you've been with with—without thinking it through. So.. so... fuck you, Jeon. Yeah, fuck YOU!"

Yerim chokes back a sob when she sees the look on his face. He was stunned at her uncharacteristic outburst, but his expression quickly disappeared. She was too. It was probably the first time she's ever outwardly swore at anybody. If her mother had heard this, she would've most likely be served soap and water for dinner.

She tried to control her fists from trembling so much. Yerim wanted to collapse. She didn't think she could take on all these emotions that was going through her head. Her heart pounded loud in her ears and she could feel her eyes heat up from the pent up frustration. Before the waterworks exploded, Yerim quickly turns around to walk away.

She didn't want him to see her cry.

He didn't deserve to see her cry.

Automatically, her hands protectively touched her flat stomach. Yerim bit her bottom lip to prevent herself from crying out loud.

It ached.

Her body ached from all the vomiting she did today.

Her head ached from all the thoughts that ran through her head as she mentally prepared herself to see him.

However, her heart had ached the most in the end.

She didn't know why, but she hoped he would've cared.

How could he ask her that?

Rumor has it that Jeon Jungkook's list of ex-girlfriends was long. Why she never took that as a clue to avoid him—she doesn't know. She felt a bit stupid for falling for his boyish charms and hated herself for crossing the boundaries between tutor and student that night. She should've just kept her nose in her books and ignored the way he looked at her from across the table.

How idiotic of her to even think that she could change him.

. . .

"H-Hello."

The jarring noise of a chair being scraped back and knocked over echoed loudly within the walls of the quiet library as Jeon Jungkook helped himself out of the vicinity. Yerim watched his retreating back; he had his backpack slung over one shoulder while the other hand was shoved into his pockets. She winced at the sound of heavy doors being slammed shut.
