From Autumn To Winter

Fondue Fun

Elsa and Anna rode up to the castle when suddenly Anna gasped. "Oh no!"

"What?" Elsa said, alarmed.

"The sun is setting!"

"So?"

"We're going to miss dinner if we don't hurry!"

"Oh, Anna." Elsa sighed.

"Come on! We're having fondue tonight!" Elsa's eyes widened.

"Chocolate fondue?" She asked.

"YES!" Anna yelled. "Hurry!" The two sisters hurried to take care of the horses and raced inside. They snuck into the kitchen, managing to not meet any of the servants along the way. There on the countertop was the biggest fountain of chocolate fondue you'd ever seen in your life. 

"CHOCOLATE!" Anna screamed, running up beside it. 

"Anna!" Elsa whispered. "You're going to get us caught!"

Anna's eyes widened as the kitchen workers rushed back in. 

A cacophony of "Hey, you!" "Get away from there!" "You aren't  supposed to be in here!" sounded as the girls were herded out of the kitchen. 

Anna and Elsa sighed dramatically and made their way to the dining room. 

At the same time, they looked at each other as if an idea popped into their heads. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Anna asked?

"I better be!" Elsa said with a grin.

The girls rushed to and fro setting up the table for all fifty or so of the castle staff. They sat down in their seats just as the food was beginning to be brought in. They leapt back up and shouted "Surprise!" 

"We thought it would make for a nice change if we all ate together! After all, this dining table is huge, and we don't want to get lonely!" Anna exclaimed.

With smiles on their faces, the castle staff began to fill in the many seats. Elsa stood with her glass raised high and announced "Thank you all for your dedication and hard word. We know that oftentimes you may go under appreciated, but we would like to change that, starting today. And on a special day at that, because today we have discovered something wonderful about Anna. Anna, would you like to share?" 

Anna blushed and mumbled, "I have autumn powers." 

"What was that, Anna? We can't hear you!"

Anna coughed out "Autumn powers."

Elsa sighed. "Anna, we seriously cannot hear you. Come on, this is exciting!"

Anna grumbled and stood up. "I have autumn powers!" 

The staff gasped and exclaimed with joy.

Anna sat down, red in the face. "Did you have to make me do that?"

"Yes, now stop being such a drama queen! That's supposed to be my job! Dig in, everyone!"

And with that, all of the castle's occupants began to eat the delicious food prepared for them, eating, drinking, and engaging each  other with merriment.

Anna sighed with contentment as she looked around the room. This is how it's meant to be, she thought.
