A little Piece of Heaven

Chapter 15- Summer Vacation

"Dude Jimmy, stop staring at her, she is going to think your a huge creeper." 

Theres a girl at the table across from us she has this haved head and a mowhawk the mowhawk is rainbowed colored. 

"No, no..I wonder.."

She looks at him.

"What the hell are you looking at?

I laugh knowing that she was going to flip out.

"I got stoned and fucked a parrot once, I was just wondering if you were my daughter?"

I spit my soda out and we all just die laughing the girl storms off.

"Oh..god...jim..that..is..funny..as...fuck.." I say thru laughter, I am laughing so hard that I am crying.

  Were in cancun mexico for our summer vacation with Tori as her graduation present from us, our parents have all the kids, so this is our last vacation until the kids are a little older, until then our vacations are family oriented. 

I can't believe how fast Victoria grew up, it's like just yesterday she started walking. I shouldn't have a child that is going into college at my age, but I am just glad to say that we grew up together. Her boyfriend is on vacation with us, they are so great together.

Brian comes over to me.

"It looks like we might be attending a wedding soon."

"They are way to young to get married Brian.

"Well I am just saying."

"I know..I don't mind if they do I'd just prefer that they got married after college, she is so smart she has her whole life ahead of her.."

And then he gets down on his knee. I gasp and my breath hitches in my throat.

Matt takes my hand as we watch whats going on. She looks at me and Brian, we smile and she says yes. I lay my head on Matt's shoulder.

"MOOOOMMMMM!! look mom its so beautiful."

I take her hand.

"Oh my God thats a beautiful ring."

   At dinner that night, it's Brian and I Tori and Caleb. I am happy for them but at the same time its akward.

"I really hope you two will wait until after college to get married?"

"Mom, I ugh..Dad please help me out."

Brian looks at me.

"She doesn't want to go to college."

"What? Why not?"

"Well you didn't and I just don't want to go anymore, atleast not yet, dad said I can help him and my uncles out."

"Tori..."

"Mom.."

"I didn't go to college Tori because I had you, you have a great life ahead of you. I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did."

"Babe.." he places his hand on mine.

"What are you saying mom that you think I am a mistake? that you didn't want me?"

"Not at all Victoria Ann. I love you with all my heart, if i could change anything about my life, it certently wouldn't be your or your brother and sister."

"Then what?"

"My point is, if you don't want to go to college fine, but please wait a year before you get married, and your father and I will pay for everything.. But at least consider possibly going to college later if you choose."

" Of coarse mom. We were thinking of getting married June next year a beach wedding."

"That sounds nice."

 We enjoy our dinner and have light conversation, were talking about what they plan to do after they get married and what is going to happen. Caleb works at his dads multi millon dollar company. He makes very good money, and it makes me happy that I know that my daughter will be really happy in her future and taken very good care of.

  Today is one of the days that I wish my parents were around for so that they could see her get married. God! I am so old!

"Well guys what shall we do? It's our last night here."

"I say we have a bon fire on the beach?"

Jimmy asks.

"That sounds good? And we can roast marshmellows and weenies?"

"Yea I bet you want to roast someones weeine."

"Oh your sick." I giggle.

  We run to the beach as the guys gather what we need, everything is going wonderfully, I couldn't be happier. I am sad that summer is coming to an end, but I am glad to be going home I miss my children that are stuck at the house, and If I don't get home soon I won't be able to fly, none of us ladies will be able to except for Tori.

 Johnny managed to burn his marshmellow he cought it on fire then tried to shake it off, it flew off the stick and landed on someone walking by us, I couldn't help but laugh. I felt bad afterwards but it was funny as hell.

  Everyone started to make out, including my own child, I look at my husband who is sleeping on the sand, he is so tired, he hasn't been feeling well thats another reason I am so ready to go home.

  The flight home is long and tiring. Matt seems to have gotten worse. Once were landed I am calling the doctor and taking him to the doctors, he needs to go.

 We all go to our own homes, I look at Matt.

"Come on baby lets get you to the doctors."

"Babe, i don't want to go, just take me up to bed Ill be fine in the morning, come lay with me."

   I sigh but I also know that I am not going to win so I just lay with him under ther covers and fall asleep. My life couldn't be anymore perfect then what it is right this minute.
