Miles away, in Manhattan, Sadie Kane awoke from a nap, sweating and troubled. Two wolves were in her dream, devouring the sun and moon. They plunged the world into darkness. Sadie got up, troubled and pensive. She slowed her heartbeat. She tried shaking the feeling that something was wrong. But Sadie could never lie to herself.

"What's Ragnärok?" Annabeth asked before she could stop herself. She, Percy, Piper, Leo, and Calypso sat in the Big House with Magnus and Samirah.
"Eternal winter," Samirah answered. "The end of everything as we know it."
Annabeth knew what this meant. Another doomsday prophecy. Another war. Another string of grief. Annabeth slowed the lump forming in her throat. Percy's eyebrows furrowed.
"And how much does that entail?" Calypso asked.
"Everything, the death of this world, of the gods, of humanity. It starts with the death of Baldr. And it really starts with the freeing of the Midgard serpent, then all of Asgard will be burned by Surtr. Then Fenrir will release death and destruction onto the land. Then Sköll and Hati will devour the sun and moon."
"Sounds lovely." Percy drawled. Annabeth elbowed him.
Leo only tapped his head. "So... wait. Does all of this happen in order? Because none of this has happened."
"...I'm not really sure. All I know is that the god Baldr is dead and has been for quite some time. The gods have been trying to prevent Ragnärok for eons now."
"But the cooling weather has something to do with it. Ragnarok starts with three straight years of winter with no summer in between." Magnus added.
"Wait, so that's what's been causing it to snow in early September?" Leo asked. "Also you never mentioned that in the first place."
"Ragnärok is the end of the world, I'm sorry if I forgot a few details." Samirah bit out.
Leo put up his hands in defense. "No offense, man! I just pointed it out."
"Let's not make each other angry, we need to be united." Piper said.
"Piper is right." Chiron said from the doorway. He was standing in his centaur form.
"Chiron!" Percy exclaimed. "How long have you been there?"
"Long enough to know that something is wrong." Chiron answered. He turned to Magnus and Samirah. "I believe we have not been acquainted yet. I am Chiron, leader of Camp Half-Blood."
"I'm Magnus, that's Samirah." Magnus introduced.
"Wonderful to meet you... though I am afraid you are not of Greek or Roman origin."
Magnus and Samirah looked at each other. "How'd you know?" Samirah asked.
"Your aura. I can sense it."
Samirah nodded. Chiron addressed Samirah, "So this Ragnärok you speak of, why does it bring you here?"
"We think Ragnärok isn't just the end of our world, we think it's the end of all the worlds. Ours, the Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians, the Indians, et cetera. Everyone will perish from this event." Magnus answered.
Chiron looked troubled. He rubbed his chin.
"Chiron, what should we do?"
"We should contact Camp Jupiter." Chiron asked. "I shall go to Mount Olympus to request an audience with the gods. This is information that needs to be confirmed by them." Chiron abruptly walked out.
