Demi was a teacher and her husband Luke was a millionaire. When Demi and Luke had their 3 year wedding anniversary they separated due to constant family problems which led to disagreements and unfairness in their married life, Luke in the 3 years of their wedding got very impulsive, violent and abusive towards Demi. But Demi's uncles did not accept their relationship, so her uncles took away Demi's daughter away from her. From then on Demi's daughter drusilla was always treated inadequately and was never allowed to see her parents nor was allowed to go to school, because there were possible chances of drusilla's parents to come to the school and secretly take her away or talk to her in private. From then onwards drusilla would always crave for her parent's love, care and warmth which she did not receive from anyone for 14 years.
