Chapter 1

Amelia and I moved away from the orphanage once we were eighteen, it's been two years since I saw Brad yet his face still appears in my nightly nightmares. Not a day goes by without me remembering what he did to me everyday. As far as Amelia knows it was a one time thing, I wanted to keep it that way. She felt guilty enough as it is.

I entered our house after a long day at work, Amelias sat on the couch listening to the news on the TV. "Amelia, guess what I got us!" I exclaimed as I walked over and hugged her. "Tell me!" She hugged me back. "Well, you know how our favorite band is coming to Dublin next week?" Her eyes widened, she shot up off of the couch and started squealing and jumping. "Zadie! I love you!!!" She hugged me one last time, grabbed her cane and walked off to her room.

I sighed. Letting myself relax a bit more on the couch. I turned off the tv and dragged myself to the kitchen. "Amelia! What do you want to nom?!" I shouted opening the fridge. "Food!" I shook my head and laughed. I put my iPod in the speakers, which started blasting Coffin by the Black Veil Brides. I started chopping the onions.

"Amelia, food nom nom time!" I shouted as I set the plates in the table. "I smell Bolognese!!!" she shouted as she came in. "You smell correctly," I laughed. She was so innocent. I helped her sit down. "So, when are we going shopping?" I laughed. She loved shopping. "After dinner," I shoved some pasta drenched in sauce in my mouth as she nodded.

After dinner I led Amelia to the car. The car journey was long and silent. We finally got to the Shopping Centre and after helping Amelia out of the car we set off to the clothes, to countless hours of not remembering the past and just focusing on where I could wear my new outfits, to countless hours of seeing Amelia happy. If she was happy so was I.

With about a kilogram of clothes each we decided that we had enough clothes for the concert. "Just enough," Amelia laughed, her laugh was like music to my ears. She was a sister to me. We have known each other for 10 years. How time flies.

Amelia was asleep in her room, I sighed. The concert was tomorrow. I reached under my bed and took out the box. The purple card covering it was almost black in the dark. I opened it to reveal its contents. A few pictures of Amelia and me, I moved them aside, looking deeper into the box. There it was. I grabbed it and went into the bathroom.

I pressed the cold steel to my wrist and slid it. The warm blood slowly pooled out. I watched it. A few minutes later it stopped, I put my wrist under the tap and turned on the cold water which started turning red and going down the drain.

After dragging my feet back to my room I dropped the blade back into the box, popped the lid back on and stuffed it under my bed. I lay down and slowly dozed off to sleep.

Amelia needs me to stay alive.

Author note time.

1. This is an absolutely short and terrible chapter. Sorry, it's more of a filler anyway. Sorry again, I really hate this chapter.

2. Votes and comments are strongly appreciated. Ideas are very welcome, I am comming up with the plot as I go along.... what an amazing stragety, even I don't know what's going to happen.

3. Dedicated to Rayavain for having a rhyme off with me, I hope my rhymes didn't cause you pain, Rayavain.
