I stared into nicks eyes and he looked into mine. I wanted to scream, but not because I was afraid. So suddenly, I started to cuss. " WHAT THE HELL! ALL THOSE TIMES YOU WERE AT SCHOOL AND YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO TO TELL ME AND........... JEFFREY! OH MY GOD! HE'S DEAD AND IT WAS YOU'RE JOB TO PROTECT HIM! HOW COULD YOU LET HIM DIE! WHAT KIND OF FUCKING PROTECTER ARE YOU?!" I stopped my rant, and started to wail. Now, it had all made sense to me. I had always seemed to notice that nick had always kept a close eye on Jeffrey. He would help him with his books even. If nick was also to protect me, he sure didn't show it one bit. I only ever saw him keeping especially close eyes on Jeffrey. It made me think. It made me think if nick had know what happened to Jeffrey, and knew his death would come. I stopped wailing enough to ask nick a question. " Did you know? Did you know he would be attacked and killed that day or even before that?" Nick looked down at the ground. It seemed the answer to the question was yes by the look of discomfort on his face, he just didn't want to say and upset me more. " I'm sorry but.....yes I did know. I knew who his killer was, I knew he would die, I knew everything, but I couldn't stop it. Im sorry.I'm so sorry." I looked at him and now saw that he had a little tear coming out of his eye. My heart started break. I had yelled and cussed at him without even knowing what was happening. I dragged my leg off the table and limped over to nick. I place both of my hands on his face and wiped his tears away." It's okay nick. I'm sorry for cussing and yelling at you, because, I shouldn't have." Nick looked at me. His eyes were a beautiful light blue. " You have beautiful brown eyes Maria." I blushed, but stayed by his face. " Well, you have beautiful blue eyes nick." He blushed too. For a minute we stared at eachother, and then, the thing I had always wanted to happen, happened. We kissed.
