Ezra and the former Sith Lord, Darth Maul, stood at the edge of the cave , chased by Ezra's friends, the Mandalorian and the Jedi.
Their eyes glowing  a sickening green, possessed by the spirits of the Nightsisters.

"How do we help them?" Ezra asked.
"It is unfortunate about your friends, Ezra, but take this as an opportunity to embrace your destiny, as my apprentice." Maul answers back.
"I already told you, that is NEVER going to happen." Ezra growled at the strangely obsessed man.

"Forget the past! Forget your memories! Forget your attachments. Our futures converge on a planet with two suns, we can walk that path together. As friends! As brothers..."

"My friends are trapped in there because of us, I can't just leave them!" Ezra yelled back.
"You disappoint me! Ezra Bridger..." he chuckled. The disappointment of a Sith Lord walked over to ship and left the planet.

Ezra cautiously walked into the cave where he was met with a possessed Sabine, knowing how tough she was without the possession, he knew he was gonna get his butt handed to him.
"Sabine! Snap out of it!" Ezra shouted to his best friend.

"Your friend is gone, Jedi. And soon, you'll be ours as well." The spirit hissed.
She lunges at Ezra, who only used the force and pushed, or more like dragged her out of the cave.
"NO!" The spirit screeched as it left her body.

"Sabine! You okay?"
She groaned and shook her head, "Ezra, whatever you got out of Maul, I hope it was worth it."
"Do not go back in there or they'll possess you again." He said as he entered the cave, also picking up the Dark Saber.

"Wait, what about you? Won't they possess you too?!" She called after him.

"I'm counting on it!"
—————————————————-
He could sense Kanan's force signature, he sat on the small podium.
"Maul promised flesh and blood, with it we can rebuilt the great clan of the Nightsisters." Kanan hissed.

"If Maul promised you something, then it's my debt as well. I will pay it, just let my friend go." Ezra persuades.
"Only if you prove to be stronger!" Kanan said- or the thing controlling him.
Kanan charged at his padawan, only to have Ezra block his attacks. Kanan finally knocked Ezra down, but in return, Ezra force pushed him back.

Standing up, he shouted to the ghosts,
"Spirits I am the one you want! Let home go!" He demanded.

The spirit controlling his master quickly left the older Jedi, and entered the younger.
Ezra screamed in agony, before quickly falling to the floor.

"NO!l Kanan shouted waking up at the last second.
"Ezra?" Kanan carefully asked  as he walked up to the boy, igniting his laser sword just in case.
"Ezra is gone. His vessel is only useful to us."The Nightsisters cackled.
Ezra's eyes started glowing green, swilling up the electric blue, he sneered at his master. His green blade quickly turned on.
"Ezra? Come on kid! Don't make me do this!" Kanan tried to reason with the young adult.
Ezra quickly took this chance as he charged at Kanan. Kanan of course blocked the attack, not wanting to hurt his son. Kanan force pushed Ezra back, but he just kept coming. He knew that he couldn't block him forever. As if on cue, Ezra knocked Kanan onto the ground and rose his saber above his head, about to take the killing blow.

Sabine came running from behind Ezra, shooting him twice in the back of his shoulder, right before he had a chance to take the kill.
"Gah!" Ezra cried in pain.
"Sorry Ezra, but it's for your own good!" Sabine grabbed him and held him in place. But he quickly broke free of her grasp.
Once again attacking Kanan, he managed to cut him a little on the arm, and out of instinct, he accidentally slashed his padawan on the face.
Ezra was immediately unconscious from the impact, the spirit leaving his body as well. Sabine grabbed his lightsaber and the Dark Saber and struck the podium with them, destroying it and the spirits as well.
"Ezra? Ezra wake up!" Sabine shouted.
Kanan was confused. Why wasn't he awake?
"Sabine what happened?"
"He's bleeding...bad."
"Where!?" Kanan asked in fear of losing his son.
"Left eye to his mouth, and on the back." She answered.
"Let's get him out of here!" He scooped up the boy, who was surprisingly lighter than he thought he'd be.
They boarded the Phantom II and soon reached Attollon. Still unconscious, Kanan carried him out and brought him to the Ghost.
"Hera!"
"Kanan?!" She gasped when she saw Ezra.
"What happened?!l she demands.
"Not now. Just help him."
"Bring him to medbay, quickly!"
———————— —————————
It took roughly thirty or so minutes to patch the young Jedi up, still unconscious, Hera decided now would be a good time to know what happened.

"He got possessed by some weird spirits that lived on Dathomir. He was forced to fight Kanan, and I shot him twice in the back." Sabine explained.
"Okay so that explains the blaster marks on his shoulder, but what about his face?" Hera asked.

"Uh.. that was Kanan..Ezra cut him on the shoulder and he accidentally did it out of reflex or something." Sabine told the Twi' Lek.
Kanan was shocked, he didn't know he did that...
"How is he?" Kanan finally asked.
"Well, I fixed up the blaster shots, so those should be fine. It's the cut along his face I'm worried about. It's gonna scar, hugely. And there is a slight chance he might lose some sight in his left eye..." Hera told the two.
Kanan felt like he had just committed the ultimate sin.
"When will he wake up?" Zen asked, walking into the main room.
"Well it appears that the possession took a lot of his energy, and he's highly stocked on pain medication, so probably a few days." Hera grimly said.
The next time she sees Maul she's gonna cut him in half...the right way.
—————————————————
Ezra woke up feeling like someone had just run him over with a speeder bike at full speed. Wait, why was there a bandage over his eye?
"Hey kid. How ya feeling?"Kanan asked, Ezra immediately turned to look at his master, not noticing him in the room.
"Sore... what happened and why is there a bandage on my eye?"
"Maul happened. Just know that everything is gonna be okay." Kanan replies.
Zen came rolling into the room, "ahhhh he lives!" He chuckled. I'm all honesty he was so happy to see his little buddy awake again.
"Oh hey Zeb." Ezra greeted the lasat.
Ezra knew something was off though, why else would he have bandages covering his eye.
"Kanan can you tell me what happened?"
Kanan sighed.
"Well we were on Dathomir and you being you, sacrificed yourself to save me, causing you to be shot, and possibly blind."
It was best to let it all out at once.

Ezra remained silent, he couldn't believe what he heard, well yes he could, he was being very impulsive lately....
"Oh...." he finally said.
"Are you guys okay?" He asked, his attention on the small bandage on Kanan's arm.
"Yeah Ezra we're fine."
"So is it gonna scar?" Ezra finally asked.
"Yeah, it will." Kanan said grimly.
Zeb quickly rushed to Ezra's side,
"It's okay kid, besides, chicks dig scars." He winked at the boy.
"Thanks Zeb." Ezra chuckled.
Ezra knew he'd be fine as long as he had his family to look after him, and always be by his side.
