When I woke up everything was bright. I managed to figure out where I was, the hospital. I sat up slowly and looked around me, I had a needle in my arm that had blood flowing through. Everything was so sensitive, my body felt as though it was hit by a bolder. I could hear everything so well. I could hear the footsteps from the doctor that was coming to the door to check up on me.

"Ah, I see your awake Silver." He said while he walked in. "You were out for a while, didn't expect you to be up for another day or two."

"What happened? How long was I out?" I said curiously trying to remember what happened.

"Derek attacked you in the kitchen, he took too much blood. You've been out for 2 days little lady. But at least your body healed in that small amount of time. I was worried we were going to lose you." He said while looking at his clipboard.

He finally looked up from the clipboard after staring at it intensely for a while. He smiled at me, "How are you feeling?"

"I-I uh, I feel weird. Everything is so sensitive, my hearing feels improved. It feels like there's this electricity running through my veins. I don't know how to explain it, it just feels weird but exciting." I said while looking at my arms.

He smiled again, bigger this time, "That would be the affect of vampire blood."

My head shot up and I stared at him with eyes wide,"W-w-what.."

I was't ready, I don't think I'd ever be. No matter how much I loved being here and spending time with the vampires, I didn't want to be one. But the doctor only laughed.

"What is so wrong with being a vampire? It's a fascinating experience, one that you hopefully will not experience for a long, long time." He smiled at me. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Do you always scare your patients like that? Isn't that bad for them? Especially since their in the hospital."

"I suppose, but it's nice having a good laugh."

I laughed a little but that soon stopped as memories for the other night came back, "What happened to Derek?" The doctor stopped smiling and laughing.

"That's not for me to discuss with you, the queen will be here shortly to pick you up she will discuss that with you."

And so I waited for the queen, when she picked me up I was happy. She hugged me carefully and took me home. And on the car ride home I managed to talk to her about Derek.

"Hey Savannah.."

"Yes child?"

"What happened with Derek?"

"We had to throw him in the dungeons, but please let us discuss this at home."

I nodded and waited to get home. On the car ride home all I did was think about Derek, I know he had done me wrong. I would have died by the hands of a vampire, but still. He is a living being, kind of. Someone shouldn't die for trying to kill a human. If anything they should be taken to some kind of vampire prison. No one needs to die, even if they are bad people.

I was pulled out of my thoughts as we pulled up to the house. The driver came around and opened the door for the queen and I.

"Thank you." I said nicely to the driver.

As we got into the house I couldn't help it, I had to ask.

"Please tell me what happened to Derek."

"He was thrown in the dungeons. He will be executed tomorrow at noon, unless you have something to say about it."
