EXTENDED SUMMARY : OSCAR HANSON was not a traitor. He wasn't! So, yeah, maybe he kept contact with Ethan Nakamura. So what? That didn't have to mean anything! Ethan was genuinely feeling like backing out of the Titans' Army. So what if he needed a pice of information or two? That didn't mean anything. That didn't mean he was helping the Titans. Because he wasn't! He was just helping Ethan. There was nothing wrong with that. Right?
NOTES : - oscar is literally such a soft bby, protect him - and uh, he's very much naive - he's a son of apollo!! - him and ethan were friends when ethan was still at camp - and when ethan joins the titans he feels hella betrayed - but also continuously tries to make excuses for him - so one day, when ethan is sort of beginning to doubt joining Kronos, he contacts oscar - who, being the trusting bean he is, immediately helps out ethan in just about anything he needs - but then someone (you can choose who) finds out that he's keeping contact with someone outside of camp - and labels him as a traitor - but oscar's like??? no??? - and people start talking behind his back about how he's probably the mole - and even though some genuinely believe that he could never do something like that, they don't want to seem fishy too so they avoid him - so he feels kind of really lonely - so he starts relying on Ethan's im presence a lot more - and ethan starts asking him for tidbits of information - simple things ("how are the cabins holding up? are they fighting?" "any new campers?") - he claims that he just misses camp and wants to know how they're doing - so ofc oscar believes in him - but then michael yew discovers who the person outside of camp was - and oscar explains the whole situation - and michael, bless his soul, goes "stop being naive! he's using you!" - oscar gets mad because he's not naive (he is) but he starts doubting Ethan's motives - he confronts ethan about it, and Ethan's like 'noOoO' - but oscar will not and does not believe in his bullshit any longer - so they cut off communication - until the Battle of Manhattan - there, oscar and ethan see each other - and ethan apologizes and explains that he really does believe he might not be fighting with the right methods , and that oscar sort of made him realize that - a kiss - and then Ethan does beside that's what happens in canon - the end
