I have a dream of being able to live life longer than what life wants me to live

I have a dream of being able to make a difference in this world

I have a dream of loving someone that loves me just as much as I love them

But in reality I had a dream of me only being able to live to fifty

I had a dream of me being like everyone else and I made no difference at all

And I had a dream where I live every day in doubt that someone will love me

You see I have dreams where the the person I like, likes me back

But I actually had dreams where they just left me

I have dreams where I can fly away

But I actually had a dream where the plane crashes

I have dreams

The best dreams in the world

But the dreams I have are just the opposite from the ones I had

I have dreams of you living

I had a dream of you dying

I have dreams where everything is calm and peaceful

But I had dreams where I woke up screaming

I have dreams where you actually text back

I had a dream with no response

I have dreams where I get to say im sorry

But I had a dream where there was just an empty room with empty noises

There is a difference to me from have and had

I can have dreams of wanting and needing things, wanting to be things

But the dreams I had are the opposite

Yes, I have dreams

But I also had dreams

I had dreams less amazing, less hopeful

Dreams that become real

Where everybody leaves even though I have dreams of them staying

When I get to say sorry to no one even though I have dreams of saying sorry to someone

I had a dream about a boy I knew and he killed himself

But I have a dream where I get to see his magic tricks again

And I had a dream about my mom drinking herself away even though I have dreams of having a perfect family

I even had a dream about me becoming exactly like her

But I have dreams where im not even close

I have dreams

I have lots of dreams

But I never actually had one
