Chapter 1

MAMA 2019

"And the winner for Album of the Year is...

Blackpink, congratulations!"

In shock, Blackpink made their way to the microphones to receive their award.

It's been a long road to get to this moment.  After the ridiculous comeback in 2017, Blackpink had a major comeback with a whole new album in 2018.  It has also been hard for them to gain recognition when Papa sajangnim had issues with Mnet, which prohibited them to stem their place in the Kpop industry by not attending the biggest stage.

After much pleading from Blackpink, Papa sajangnim made amends with Mnet and YG artists were finally allowed to attend their award shows, especially MAMA.

The girls finally shook themselves awake from their trance after they heard cheers from all the fans.  They received their award and stepped up to the mic.  Jennie started to cry.  Not just little tears, but almost full on sobbing, which the fans normally don't see from the emotionless idol.  As usual, Rose ended up sobbing, trying to cover her face.  However, what surprised everyone was Jisoo in tears.  

No one ever saw Jisoo in tears when they received awards from Inkigayo or other award shows.  The shocked maknae looked on as her unnies cried.  Usually the maknae doesn't give speeches because she's not confident or she gets emotional.  But, throughout the years, Lisa taught herself to keep some of her emotions in, so instead of crying, Lisa's face was painted with a huge smile.

Seeing that Jisoo, the one who normally gives the speeches would not calm down, Lisa stepped up to the mic to give the speech, surprising everyone.

"Ne, anneonhesayo, we're Blackpink!  Thank you to Mnet for finally giving us a chance to perform and attend this amazing stage and I hope we will continue to be on good terms.  Thank you to Papa YG for making amends for all of your artists to be here this year and thank you to Teddy oppa for helping us produce this amazing album and for guiding us when we wanted to write some of the songs.  I also want to thank my unnies for being there for me since day one when I came to Korea and for taking care of me throughout this whole experience.  Lastly, I want to thank the Blinks!"

The crowd started to cheer loudly.

Giving a smile, Lisa continued, "Thank you so much for being with us through our career and thank you for being so patient with our uneven schedule.  We cannot promise you guys anything, but we hope to keep on making you guys proud and make music that is worth listening to.  Thank you!"  After the speech, the fans cheered while other idols clapped.  Bowing one more time, Lisa looped her arms around Jennie and Jisoo, while rubbing Rose's back to soothe her.

When they got backstage, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose finally collapsed into Lisa's arms, crying into her.  

"Aww, stop crying you guys, this is supposed to be a happy occasion!" Lisa light heartedly teased.

"Th-Thank you, Lisa for being strong for your unnies," Jisoo said, trying to stop her tears.

"Aniyo, unnie, you deserve to cry at least once.  I know you always hold it in.  Come here," Lisa squeezes Jisoo like a teddy bear.  The other two join in soon after.

"Okay, okay.  It's time to go back to our seats.  Let's go," Rose and Jennie looped their arms around Lisa again with Jisoo leaning on Lisa's back.

Lisa guided them back to their seats while bowing to their sunbaes, of course.  The sunbaes they were sitting in front of were BTS, so they bowed 90 degrees and they bowed back.  

Even while sitting, Jisoo looped her arm around Lisa's while Jennie got her other arm.  Rose just sat on Lisa's lap while wrapping her arms around her neck.

"Yah Park Chaeyoung!  Get off!"

"Don't want to," she pouted as she turned her head into Lisa's neck.

Sighing, Lisa just stayed like that for awhile.  Too occupied with her clingy unnies, she didn't notice that the seven members behind them were laughing as they witnessed the scene before them.

Then, there was a thought that passed by all of them.  Looking at each other, they whispered, "Lisa oppa."

Throughout the night, the unnies hung onto Lisa until they had to perform.  They acted like little babies, but when they stepped onto the stage they did a 180 degree transformation.  

Their stage presence was no joke and when Lisa started to rap, all eyes were drawn to her.

"Daebak....  We should do a collab with her one day," Rap Monster said with wide eyes.

The rest of them agreed. 

When it got to the dance break, Lisa was in center stage all by herself doing her routine.  Her flow was on point and she just felt the music.  Striking the final pose, the lights went out, signaling the end of the performance.  Many of the idols stood up and clapped in appreciation for the performance.

"Daebak... Her dancing is just..."  J-Hope had no idea how to finish that sentence.

After the final stage for the evening, all the idols were gathered backstage to go to their waiting rooms to get ready to leave.

Blackpink were one of the first to get all packed up and were headed out, but Lisa said, "Hey unnies, is it okay to say hi to a friend first?"

"Okay, but don't be too long.  You have 10 minutes," her manager replied.

Lisa replied with the ok sign and ran back into the building.  After bowing to several sunbaes, Lisa finally found the one she was looking for.  She ran and jumped on his back.

"BAMBAM!" she yelled, not noticing who he was talking to.

Turning around, Bambam saw her and put her down.

"Yah Pokpak, come here!" they hugged it out while Bambam congratulated her on the win.

"Thank you" she let go and finally looked up at who he was talking to.  She immediately bowed 90 degrees.

"It's okay, Lisa-yah," Jimin replied with a laugh.  The other members looked at him in shock.

"Ne, annhesayo, Jimin oppa," the others looked at her in shock, as well.

"Wait, you guys know each other?"  Bambam questioned as well.

"Of course.  Hello?  Remember Gayo Daejun?" she teasingly asked.

Bambam pretended to think, then smiled, "Oh yeah~"
