Bright Star

In the vastness of the sky,
there I saw a glimmering light.
Shining, as if wishing to be seen,
a bright star from billions of miles away.

At night I lay my back,
in a blanket between me and the ground.
At night I gaze up above,
delighted by the sight of the million stars.

Watching the stars made me realize,
I have already seen this kind of glimmer.
As if in a flash, I saw you smile,
with your eyes filled with joy as it glimmers like the stars.

There we sit, side by side.
Together we witnessed a beautiful meteor shower.
I held your hand and smiled.
