That was the same name that kept ringing through Sierra’s head throughout the whole ride to school.

“Why can’t it get out of my mind?” She thought, but at the same time trying to think of something else.

Sierra stared out the glass tinted window at the beautiful birds on the trees.

Sierra sighed “Their life is so easy.” And said as she turned around

“We’re here.” Mrs. McCollum stated.

“Huh?” Sierra had zoned out for the 5th time thinking about Brian.

“Thanks, I’ll see you at home,” Sierra said as she got out of the car and waved her mum goodbye. “See you.”

 “K, have a good day” Her mum replied and drove off.

Meanwhile, Brian started to walk over Sierra’s way. She didn’t notice because she was too busy reading her Biology text book for a test she had on joints and muscles.

“Hey, I never caught your name yesterday.” Brian started casually.

Sierra felt her heart skip a beat or two, but felt that weird vibe again. She turned to him and smiled. She was loving the moment but quickly regretted it remembering she had forgotten to brush her teeth and her hair looked like a bird’s nest.

“Ummm, hey I’m Sierra.” Sierra said trying to keep a bit of a distance and looking side to side to see if anyone noticed.

Brian noticed this and looked offended. “I get it; I’m the new kid you don’t really want to be seen around with.”

“No, no that’s not it I swear! I’m just…” Sierra trailed off when the bell rang

“Anyway I got to get to class” Brian stated

“We’re in the same class”

Brian didn’t reply and just walked off to class at a high speed. Sierra stood in the hallway feeling awful that Brian didn’t understand what she meant and took it the wrong way. Sierra realized she was still in a mess and dashed off to the girls’ bathroom to freshen up.

Her shirt was the wrong way round and as she was taking it off (the bottom of her bra showing) she spotted Dan in the mirror

“Ahhhhhhh!!! … What the heck?” She screamed.

Dan laughed and pointed at the sign above the door that read “Boys”

Sierra gasped and covered her mouth in shock. “Sh*t!!!”

Dan found this hilarious and almost fell down laughing.

“You pervert! Why didn’t you stop me?”

“Why would I?” Dan smirked

Sierra rolled her eyes and picked up her bag pack. She stormed out praying nobody else saw her and finished up in the girls bathroom.

After school Sierra spotted Brian sitting alone with his back against a tree reading a comic book. She walked over and sat next to him but he said nothing.

“Hey, umm about today morning I was just feeling a bit messy and I didn’t really ….” Sierra continued as she blew air through her teeth. “I guess what I’m trying to say is can we start over?”
