A red Ferrari pulled up near a lakeside. The moon was shining bright and the stars were dazzling above. Brian got out of the car and rushed over to the other side to open the door for Sierra before she got a chance to. She gave him a closed – mouth smile and got out.

They walked over to the sand near the water and laid out a little picnic.

“This is nice.” Sierra smiled.

“Hey, come with me.” Brian said as he got up and rolled up his jeans.

“Where?”

Brian just smiled and pulled Sierra up.

“Hahaha, what?”  Sierra laughed.

They ran towards the lake till they were in ankle deep then Brian splashed water on Sierra’s face.

“Uh! Oh no you didn’t.” Sierra laughed and picked up water and threw it on Brian.

“Oh, you’re on!” Brian grinned.

They chase each other around for a while screaming and laughing till they fell into the water. They stood up and walked back to their food.

“Haha, best night ever!” Sierra screamed

Brian smiled and put his arm around Sierra as they sat down all wet.

“It’s nice being here with you, the stars, the moon…” Brian trailed off

Sierra looked grabbed her shoes and abruptly stood up.

Brian looked puzzled, “Wh – what’s wrong?”

Sierra looked again at the full moon then back at her watch, it was 8:35, she had 25 minutes left before she turned.

“Uhhh… I just remembered,” Sierra noticed her hands getting hairy and her finger nails getting longer and black, “I – I – I have to be home right now.”

“Umm. Okay I’ll drive you.” Brian said as he stood up and got his car keys.

She looked again at her watch and it was 8:40, her home was 30 minutes away.

“No, umm… it’s a rush my sister’s picking me up around the corner.”

“Fine, let me walk you there.”

“No!”

Brian looked offended

“I – I ’m sorry, I just need to go. This was awesome.” Sierra smiled.

Brian knew she was telling the truth and stood there smiling back half-heartedly as Sierra ran off into the dark.

Sierra sloped down through the woods, it was getting darker and the night was getting blacker. She turned her head to the side and then the other side, breathing heavily. She looked at her watch and there were only 5 minutes left, she was dumb founded because she had been running for a while but there was no place she could lock herself in.

Sierra was too busy searching for a place that she didn’t realize someone creep up behind her. She felt a hand suddenly cover her mouth; she tried to scream but couldn’t.  Sierra looked down at the person’s hand and made out it was a man’s hand according to his fingers and hairy knuckles.

Another thing caught her eye; it was the ring the man was wearing. The ring was royal blue with a crescent moon on the top that looked like it was made of real gold. It was tight on the man’s skin and looked like it had been there for many years. Sierra felt her canine teeth get sharper and remembered she was being attacked. She tried to bite his hand but as she opened her mouth a scent blasted her nose, she immediately felt sleepy then everything went black.

Sierra woke up in a daze. She started rubbing her eyes as she looked around and realized she was in their underground family cellar. She looked down and saw that her hands and legs were tied in chains.

“Ugh!” Sierra groaned trying to pull off the chains.

She spotted a key, intentionally, placed nearby and undid the locks on her chains. She looked up t the little window on the wall and saw sunlight bursting through.

“It’s already morning?” Sierra asked herself.

“Yes.” A female voice said coming from the door.

“Ahhh!” Sierra screamed as she jumped 2 feet into the air and hit her head on the low ceiling of the cellar.

“Ugh! Kora you freaked me out.” Sierra said slightly furious rubbing the top of her head.

“Hahaha” Kora laughed. “I’ve never seen you jump so high.”

Sierra just rolled her eyes.

“How did I get here? Last thing I remember I was in the woods looking for a place to lock myself in then…” Sierra paused and remembered the man.

“I think someone dropped you here.” Kora explained.

“The man in the woods.” Sierra whispered to herself.

“Huh?”

“Umm, nothing Kora”

He was actually helping me Sierra thought as she walked out the cellar with Kora to the house for some breakfast.
