Kat:
Jodie had been quiet since the council dinner a few weeks ago. I watch my bright sassy blue goddess become almost normal. Her blue wig and contacts had gone showing off her green eyes and pale skin, her dark blonde curly hair pulled back into a bun her glasses back in place.
Something had happened but she wouldn't tell me what. Rj sat beside me his hand on my thigh squeezing it as my brother Charles stood. "The council and I have decided that due to the anxiety around Neal walker being back that we would cut a deal. Due to not many candidates my own daughter Jodie has decided that to save our family she will marry him." I blinked up at my brother almost snapping my neck as I looked up.
"You what!? Your kidding me right? Your pimping your own daughter out." Growled Rj taking the words right from my mouth. "It's for the best jade has a better chance at finding a love match with someone else and Neal and jade have agreed that they will keep their relationship going in private." Drawls Carla.
Oh hell to the no. I watch my beloved stand and grin at me before he takes my hand. He spins me into a waltz and I raise my brow as he lays me down on the table knocking the jug of water all over Carla. As she splutters and coughs Rj drawls. "Next time dear don't use your daughters as fucking prossies because you're too stuck up to tell your husband the real reason the council wants this match."
I watch Jodie stand shaking her head, her blue eyes not even showing one bit of light anymore. "It's fine uncle ray aunt Kat it's my duty I signed up for it." She says softly shuffling away from the table. I shake my head as RJ let's me up and I follow Jodie out of the room watching her stand dead still as she catches jade with Neal.
but a loud smash makes everyone jump before I can finally speak as a half wolf half human man walks through the door heading straight for Jodie. Screams echo through the room before I can react Rj has me pinned to the floor as jade cowers behind Neal. But Jodie does the most unexpected thing. She reaches out to the beast.
