JOY
It was about 7:00am, I had just rolled over and felt on the nightstand for my glasses but I knocked them on the floor, I got up and walked to the bathroom, knocking stuff over on my way there.
"You good ?" I heard black say from the front area.
"I'm fine." I said. I go in the bathroom and spend a hell of a lot of time in there. First I brushed my teeth then I got in the shower and bathed, washed my hair, and shave. I was finished right before the water had got cold. I was too lazy to put some clothes on at the moment so I wrapped my towel around me and headed back to my room.
"Black !" I called out.
"Yeah?" He says as he got to my room door.
"You'll go shopping with me, I need some new things." I asked
"Sure, let me know when your ready." He says. Then he left.
I grabbed my phone and had 3 missed calls from my dad which was weird cause he hardly ever called. I dialed his number back and waited for him to answer.
"Joy?" He says as soon as he picked up.
"Wassup daddy?" I asked.
"Where are you now ?" He asked.
"Home, just getting out the shower." I responded.
"Good, come to Dade Memorial Hospital, your mama just got rushed in." He says.
"Oh god ." I said in barely a whisper.
JONAS
I had just landed back in the states going 80 in a 35 to the hospital where my mama was. I've seen my mama in a hospital before when I was kid, and that shit ain't a good feeling.
Once I got to the hospital and got her room number from the front desk I jogged down the hallway to her room. Once I opened the door all of the family was here. All together it was Kain, Ashley, and their two kids. Demetria and Kylee & I was surprised to see Kyson. Joy & her body guard was there. My uncle Junior was there with his wife Harmony and sons, Jaycin and Adam, and Jaycin's little girl was also there.
"I don't want them dry ass looking peas, Julian, get me out this damn hospital !" I heard my mama snap, I pushed past my family and went to her hospital bed, although she was annoyed she smiled when she seen me.
"Ma what's wrong ?" I asked.
"I'm hungry & this lady come in here with them dry, raw ass peas." She says.
"Mama what's wrong with your health?" I asked again.
"I'm fine." She says.
"She has diabetes, she didn't know & her blood pressure went up too high, I found her passed out on the floor in the bedroom."my dad answered for her, she cut her eyes at him.
"Damn ma, High blood pressure & diabetes. Is it serious?" I asked.
"It can be if she doesn't watch what she eats & takes her insulin." My dad says.
"I'll be fine, I watched my mama deal with this all my life, it's just hereditary, I pray none of my babies get it." She says looking away.
"Ma can you please eat the damn peas, you gotta have something on your stomach." I said grabbing the bowl.
"Tell them damn doctors to tell them damn cooks to cook me a baked potato or something, I'm not eating that. You eat them raw ass peas!" She snapped. I just shook my head and went to find the doctor to make my mamas request.

I sat in the chair playing with my nieces and nephews while my mother ate her backed potato, Jaycin, Uncle Junior and Aunt Harmony left to go to work. I agreed to watch over Jaycin's daughter for a few hours.
"You don't have to stay out here all day bro, Imma be here." Kain says.
"I'm good, I don't have nothing to do." I responded.
"Yeah you do, a weeks worth of paper work emailed to you today...you wanted to take a vacation so you backed up" my father says
" I'll get to it when I get to it, my damn mama in a fucking hospital!" I snapped at him, he looked at me as if I was just another one of his employees lately. He doesn't spend time or calls none of us & all he does is work.
" That's fine." My father says walking past us, out of the room. I looked to my mother who looked disappointed.
" y'all two better fix this, cause I'm not gonna here the end of it."My mama says.
"Ma, that man only cares about you and his damn business." I responded. She was quite as she looked at me as if I said something funny.
"You think that's all he cares about Jonas? All we do is discuss y'all ! All four of y'all and our grandchildren. Jonas we not gone be here forever and we want y'all financially able to take care of yourselves. Kain and Demetria will be fine with Kain in the Military and Demetria with her business. You and Joy still are young and still depends on us. You work for your father Jonas, he cuts your check, and one day wants you to take over all of his business, you thinks he wanna still work ? He been ready to retire but your not ready to take over. And Joy tattoo shops is all in your fathers name & he's paying every month to keep it open all she have to pay is the workers. Everything that man do is for y'all, so don't ever question my husband, he is a great father." She snaps at me, some of the things she said I didn't even realize, I owed my dad and mom an apology.
"I'm sorry ma, I didn't mean to upset you or disrespect pops, get your rest, last thing you need is to be stressing." I said to her she just nodded her head.
JOY
I was at Cyn's house laying in bed with her while she rubbed my stomach & we talked.
"Can just consider having a baby." Cyn says making me roll my eyes.
"Cyn I don't think we're-" I said before she cut me off.
"Joy I can't see my self having one with anyone else, can we at least go to the fertility clinic to get more info on it ? I really want this Joy and I really want it with you." She says kissing my stomach.
"Cyn I-"
"Please Joy." She says, she reached in her nigh stand and pulled out a small black box.
"Oh my god." I said looking at her.
"So what do you say ?" I asked.
"Yes."

In less than an hour Cyn and I were on our way to Mexico, I told her I wasn't having a baby out of wedlock, so she said let's get married now. Although my ideal wedding would be with my friends and family by my side, I still felt like we was doing the right thing, I really did love her.
" you ready babe?" She says as we sit down on the seats of the plane.
"More than ready." I said holding her hand.
