When I first saw you, I smiled and pretended you weren't to cutest guy I've ever seen. Your brown hair had a little swoosh at the front, framing your square-shaped face perfectly. It took me a few days to notice the little heart-shaped birthmark under your right eye. I would slyly look at your face until I had the courage to talk to you.
When I first said "Hi", you turned to me a smiled and said "Hi" back. We talked the rest of that bus ride. We learned each other's names and class we were in. When the bus stopped at school, we said "Goodbye" to each other.
I entered the bus that afternoon, talking to my friend about what we did in class. We both sat down in our normal seat, three rows back from the bus driver on the left side. When I saw you get on the bus, my eyes followed you until you sat down. You decided to sit across from my friend and I. "Hi" I said. "Hi" you said. We talked the whole way home.
Friendship became a thing we shared. Every morning we would talk about something new and exciting. Maybe we were talking about school, or maybe something about your little brother. When the year came to a close, I told myself that I would love you forever.
Over that summer, we would hang out together with a friend of yours and mine. It seemed like everyday was a new adventure us three would explore. The park, the river, the street. Everything was exciting. I remember the day that our other friend had to go home early so it was just us two. I was blushing the whole time because I was nervous. We were in your basement playing Wii, I was Toad and you were Mario. I purposely would die so that you had to save me. When I finally went home, I was the happiest person on earth.
School started up again and it was just like the year before, talking every day. That year we were in the same class and I was super excited. Everyday when the bus arrived at school, I would try to walk with you to class because I wanted to talk to you as much as possible everyday.
Towards the middle of that year, a random boy asked me to date him. I said yes because I wanted a boyfriend, but i was still in love with you. Everyday during recess, I had to hang out with my "boyfriend" because that's how he wanted to do things. I finally got to courage to brake up with him. I told him it was because I wanted to hang out with my friends at recess and not him.
That afternoon, you came to me and told me that my boyfriend said I broke up with him because of you. I said that was true. That's how you found out I liked you.
