"Jack!" My mother yells.
Um, what the hell mom.
"I AM IN THE SHOWER." I scream.
"Strawberries!" Is the only word that comes out of her mouth.
I immediately hop out of the shower, naked and all, and run to my brother. He has gotten into the strawberry fields, and convulsing violently.
"Drake, oh my god!" I panic and run for the phone.
"Hello? 911? Yeah, my name is Jack Powers and my little brother is allergic to strawberries! Like, violently allergic! He just found our strawberry field and is convulsing and spitting blood!"
He looked almost peaceful, besides the fact that his insides were probably being rattled by an allergic reaction.
"Where are you? What is your location?" The operator said.
For once in my life, I was speechless.
He had slowly stopped convulsing, and spit up the rest of the blood. He looked pale, and his once bright blue eyes were now bloodshot.
"Never mind." I said, and hung up.
As I resumed my normal anti-social business, a frantic yelp had escaped my mother's mouth.
He had started again, much worse.
Slamming his body against the driveway, screaming, blood spat up like a fountain.
I ran over to him and held his hand, mouthing for my mom to call the police.
She shook her head, and started to sob hysterically.
This is the end.
Then I looked over at Drake, and his eyes were fluttering closed as he convulsed.
That was the last time I ever saw him alive.
