A Sideline Story

Everyday I'm waiting for a chance,
To go out there and show y'all who I am,
But when I wait on the side, and biding my time,
I see everyone do their worst,
And it makes me so hurt,
That they wouldn't try,
Even though they can fly,
I'm a broken airplane,
Someone who did fly, then crashed into the side,
Now I wait here for my end,
But until then I am who I am,

Then one day she came to my life,
And for awhile we had a wonderful time
Until she had to leave, and it all started to die,
My hopes, my dreams,
My lows, my redeems,
And I waited again,
The broken airplane who touched too high,
Instead of waiting on the side,
You could say I learned a lesson,
But the only lesson I learned was pain,
Pain can control you, and make you aim,
Pain can destroy you, and it just comes again,
So listen well and listen close,
Because you never know who might lurk around your hurt,
Maybe one day you can make it,
But do not ever try to fake it,
So do your best, and hope to succeed,
Because if you don't, you have just failed a dream
