chapter 5

they decided that they had had enough make-believe and wanted to go train instead. so they went to the training deck, which had some modifications since the past. the robots were pacifically adjusted to fit whoever is training with it's fighting techniques.

Quinn had a special robot that was smaller so it was a fair fight. she was pretty good for a 5 year old. they all got their bayards out, Quinn had a taser staff, nerrissa had a bow and arrow, cai had nun chucks, alya had boomerangs and aidan had a gun-sword.
"right." nerrissa began "lets see how good you two are."
two more robots came up from the floor. keith and lance pulled out their bayards. "BEGIN!" a voice bellowed over the speakers. they had a competition to see who could last the longest. Quinn was defeated after round 3, alya in round 5 and cai in round 6. now it was nerrissa, aidan, keith and lance.
they were near the end of round 8 when lance yelled out "ha, I'll beat you this time keith!" not a moment after he said this the robot pinned him to the ground and swung its sword at him "LANCE HAS BEEN DEFEATED!" the voice bellowed.
aidan found this amusing "haha" he wasn't paying attention to the robot. it charged at him and threw him against the wall and swung the sword once more "AIDAN HAS BEEN DEFEATED!" the voice bellowed once more. then that round ended.
now it was just nerrissa and keith onto round 9. two robots came up from the floor "BEGIN!"
they were fighting their robots for 15 minutes and they were both neck and neck.
lance yelled out from the side "go on keith! if you win I'll bake you our special cake!"
back in the other reality lance had make a cake with a family recipe for keith and it was the best thing keith had ever tasted, he would do anything for that cake.
out of nowhere keith charged at the robot and attacked it "KEITH WINS!" the voice roared. nerrissa's robot stepped back and disappeared.
everyone cheered. lance ran up and hugged keith "well done buddy."
keith just replied with "thanks. now go make me a cake."
lance let go of keith smiling "of course master." he said bowing. they both bursed out laughing before lance walking out and to the kitchen.

although everyone new that hunk was the best cook in the world, keith had never tasted anything like lance's special cake. he was walking to the kitchen where lance had been for the last 10 minutes.
"hey how's it goin'" keith said walking into the kitchen, which smelt divine.
"great actually, I just put it in the oven." lance said turning around to greet keith.
keith walked over to the bowl were a little bit of chocolate cake batter still remained, lance came and joined him. he scooped some up with his index finger and placed it on lance's nose. lance smiled at keith. keith couldn't help but laugh, lance looked adorable with chocolate cake batter on his nose.
"what? have I got something on my face?" lance said with a grin. this made keith laugh even harder. keith moved closer to lance and wiped the batter of his face, he then proceeded to kiss him on the nose.
after about 20 minutes the cake was done. lance put on the oven gloves and carefully pulled the cake out. the luxurious aroma of the cake filled the room. keith was extremely exited "omg, just give me a spoon I don't need a plate." he said impatiently.
"whoa, slow down their buddy aren't you going to share?" lance said grabbing two plates.
keith cupped his head in his hands. "I wasn't planning to."
lance grinned and gave him a plate "well your plan failed because I am having some too"
