aaron's pov
she begins to drift off to sleep and i place a hand on her thigh while driving. i truly don't want her to leave me again. i feel cold and hollow inside just thinking about the possibility of never seeing her again. my phone rings and y/n stirs. i take my hand off her thigh and answer. "hello?" i ask to the receiving end.
"aaron where are you! the school and security guards called me informing me they have not seen you at all!!!" my father screams on the other side.
"calm down please i have a reason for leaving campus, one of my classmates was kidnapped and i wanted to make sure they got back to college safely."i say trying to keep my voice calm and study.
i hear him growl the sigh deeply on the other end, "where are you i'll come get you and your classmate and it will be faster for you and them to get to school if i bring you." i get worried, if he knows i also went out of the state i'll be in even worst trouble.
"h/t" (h/t means home town) i say cursing my slight studder. he growls more and gets even angrier.
"go to your aunts place she lives in h/t i'll be there as soon as i can." he says and i turn and start heading there.
"yes father" i reply before hanging up. once i end the call y/n stirs more and whines about to wake up. i hum to try and calm her down enough so she doesn't wake up. she relaxes and continues her rest.
timeskip
i get to my aunts house and enter while carrying y/n. she stirred slightly when i picked her up but soon snuggled against my chest enjoying the warmth i presume. i knock and my uncle open and looks confused.
"i was helping my classmate out, she got kidnapped and my dad called me and told me to come here." i explain. he nods and lets me in. my aunt comes out and sees y/n immediately smiling.
"oh aaron you're here and who is this little sleeping beauty?" she asked gesturing to y/n as she stirs and opens her eyes obviously getting confused.
"h-huh?" she mumbles to herself. i let her down.
"r/g/n this is y/n" (r/g/n=random girl name)i tell her and she smiles and walks up.
"hello y/n and how are you? how do you know aaron? what happened?" she asks and y/n for the first time since i met her seemed uncertain and shy.
"u-uhm?" she stuttered and r/g/n tried to continue to question her but i interrupted.
"we have a love of similar classes but i think we should get a little bit of sleep before my dad comes." i say and y/n steps closer to me noticeable confused and worried.
"oh of course come on you know where the spare room is." she says and head to the extra bedroom. i follow with y/n and she mumbles to me,
"what's going on?"
"don't worry she's just my aunt. my dad told me to come here so he could pick us up then go back to campus." i tell her.
y/n's pov
i stay close to aaron after he explained. my dumb cousin had to bring back all the memories and i was now more wary around the new people i meet. we enter a small room with a queen sized bed and r/g/n spoke up.
"here you go, sorry we don't have two spare rooms but it's only till derek comes to pick you guys up. i'll be back when he gets here." she explains leaving.
"you should sleep some more, sorry i woke you." aaron tells me.
"it's okay....thank you." i mutter and smile up at him. he's so nice. "i really appreciate you coming to help me." i finish. he kisses my forehead.
"of course."
