Some time later...

"Who are you?", said Beam crossing his arms. "Who are YOU?", asked the other person. Beam now frowned and and said aggressively: "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU??"

That battle started when Beam had reached the door of the apartment to see that stranger reaching to knock on the door. Beam stood at a distance watching him reach to knock at the door at least three times, but in the end he sighed and just banged his head on the door. Beam was confused and he muttered to himself: "Who is that lunatic??" He had went forward to ask the man who he was and then the "who are you" battle started. Beam was glaring at the man who was not letting Beam know who he was and why was he in front of their apartment.

Forth opened the door, startling both of them. "Why are you shouting?", he whispered to Beam. He was holding a sleeping Moana in his arms. Beam gestured at the man who was looking with wide eyes at the baby in Forth's arms.
Forth too was super shocked to see him. Then he said quietly: "So, you were alive?" Hearing that, it was now Beam's turn to look at Forth like he had another head sprouted. What kind of question was that?? Omg that man is turning my Forth too into a lunatic, he thought. He moved towards Forth who turned to look at him with tears in his eyes. Beam turned to glare at the man. Who the hell was he that the instant Forth saw him he started to cry? But the strange thing was that the man was all discomfited and crying too. He was staring at the floor, avoiding the Forth's and Beam's gazes. 

Forth placed his hand on Beam's shoulder and said to him quietly: "Take Moana to her crib and freshen up, you must be tired after a whole day at uni.. You can join me afterwards.. I'll talk to him meanwhile.." Beam looked at him for few seconds, examining his determined face, then nodded. As Beam left with Moana, Forth looked at the person and invited him inside: "Come in John, you and I going to have a long conversation." John nodded and went inside. 

They sat and Forth asked him: "So, where were you? You are ten months late, you know." John said hesitantly: "I... Pha called me a few days ago.. He said that you have been looking for me..he sent me to you"

"Ahh so it was Pha who finally got to you, I sent a lot of classmates to search for you. And it was Pha who found you. Did you not get a punch from him? He is a bit hot tempered. Especially after what you had done." John shook his head. "He must have been growing mellow after he found his mate. You are lucky. So, yes where have you been? You forgot that you had a mate??", said Forth. John looked at him and said hesitantly: "H-had?" Forth looked at him wordlessly and John started to cry. "She could not..she could not have left me..", he said desperately. "Ho- how did she..?", he asked Forth.

Forth started to narrate whatever John had missed for the ten months. "She waited for you.. she told me you always had fights but you always come back a few days later.. But then you never came back. She waited and waited. For two months. And then she found herself pregnant. She was back in her hometown at that time. She was so happy to be pregnant. And she did her best to try to contact you. But you were unreachable all the time. She phoned your parents who told her that you were gone. They were not willing to hear what she had to say. She was on her own. She wanted to contact me. But after the way you reacted when you learnt that we were dating before she met you, she restrained herself. And did not contact any of our classmates as she knew that they would tell me. Can you imagine a pregnant woman on her own?? Moreover, she was ill. She was already relapsing. I thought you were with her and so, I tried not to contact her. Because I knew that you would not appreciate it."
